Shoutcast 1.9.7 just published with the below fixes

Code:

1) Improve list scrolling
2) Improve UI navigation
3) Enhance search by additional 3 search methods : by Genre, by Bitrate & Get Stations based on Now playing info
4) Enhance screen keyboard function
5) Support remote control input for search entry
6) Enhance favorite list by display now playing info and listener
7) Support playing next station or previous station on favourites or search list
8) Provide Now playing info during playback
9) support C-300 TFT display

The now playing information is really nice to see, it is a feature I have hoped for, for years, so thanks for that. However it can be more than 3 minutes behind so it is very often incorrect. The previous "now playing" is shown occasionally too. The app. musn't be reading the Shoutcast data in the stream which changes dynamically.

I have a big problem with this app, I try to play some Romanian station like "Magic FM", "Sport Total FM" and nothing happen, no error, no sound. I saw that these stations are of type AAC+.
Why is this happening?

excellent, the only negative point is "now playing" data is not refreshed according with the song played.

yes we look only every 30sec or 60sec not sure now, because else the scrolling inside the app will get very slow

Check your pch volume level. I leave mine at '0' and manage the volume from the pre-amp.
In you pch setup/Audio-Video/ section try setting AAC to 'Downmix'.

AAC+ stations will be support in next firmware.

What's the difference between the Shoutcast service on my A210 and the Internet Radio? They're both under the online services globe on the main screen, and as far as I can see they are both Shoutcast players?

Is one obsolete? If so, is there a way to get rid of it (together with SayaTV, which I've never managed to get to work)?

The webservice Shoutcast appears to have more channels to choose from than the app?

The webservice interface however seems a bit outdated compared to the app. Can this be updated or is it part of the firmware?
