[Feature] Firefox / Chrome / Safari App (I'd even settle for IE)
One for my wish list here....

I've been running my A300 for a few days now over my Samsung D8000 TV and I've got to say the whole set up is looking like the dog's hairy bollocks - that's pretty good for the uninitiated....

All my hard drives are working / YAMJ with eversion through the YAMJ App - (definitely the way to go Accident!). Going like the proverbial dream.

One thing I'm missing though - and it would be a real nice thing to have - is a web browser as an App. Unless I had too many Red Backs over the weekend, I can't find one for the life of me.

I mean my Samsung's SmartHub has a browser app but who can be bothered using that when its as slow as a wet week. I also know we're all about media but having a browser app would have to be a bit of a coup for Syabas you would think.

Does anyone know if a browser is in the works as an App - or do I just keep on dreaming? By the way, I was only kidding about IE Tongue

Anyone else interested???

You want the ability to use a Browser on the A300 (but why are you then mentioning firefox/chrome/safari?)?

Or, you want something for a browser (firefox/chrome/safari) running on a PC, that does something with the A300?

He states he wants a fast webbrowser I guess.
Well, there was never one for the A1x0 nor the A2x0, partially because a webbrowser wouldn't be able to run fast enough to anyones liking.
With the x300 you can totally forget about it, because there isn't any support for HTML on those devices.

It would have to come through userapps.

It has been asked before and the response has always been a very definate no from Syabas.

RE: Firefox / Chrome / Safari App (I'd even settle for IE)
My initial thoughts were having some basic web browsing functionality via the App market.

All or certainly most of the apps in our App market, point us to web content of various descriptions. However, I understand that the focus is mainly on the delivery of media files, so there's obviously not a lot of html rendering going on.

However from your comment Chris, it would seem that the strategy from Syabas is to focus on media only (not that there's anything wrong with that Tongue ) so I might have to leave it on the wish list.

Seasons greetings!

It would be great to have some basic web browser functionality on A300 device.
There are many sites with embedded video that might be viewed without inventing particular app for each of them.
