I had this problem too, after file copied, the media can't use time seek function nor goto xx%. Looks like the NMT's file transfer protocol had serious bug

Hi there & happy new year.
Because i got tired of trying to transfer material into a 2TB HDD that i installed to my A300,
i decided to remove it and make it into an external disc via an HDD Enclosure.
Will i face any problem with that?
Should i buy any specific HDD Enclosure?
My HDD disc is WD 20EARX 2TB

I like the Samsung ones but they have recently merged with Seagate. Seagate have seen some new HDD's that are OK but if you can find one of these it may be cheap:-

WD HDD's have had problems in general with Linux devices and Intellipark keeping the HDD's from parking.

Stay away from SATA3 and 7200rpm. Also check the 200 series compatibility pages as they get updated all the time:

Remember to backup any large HDD as its a lot of files to lose if the HDD corrupts/breaks.

My WD 2TB WD20EARX was succesfully installed in my PCH A300,formated by NMT Applications and works perfect!!!!!
I have some quetions for you:

1.A 2 TB Disc how is formatted by the NMT?
I mean in what size the NMT Folder (Downloads),In what size the Music Sector , In what size the Video Sector and in What size the Photo sector.

2.Can i know via my PCH know the remaining size of the disc?

3.What is the fastest way to transfer material in my Sata disc of about 1.5 TB size?
Can i do it by my PC?
It is XP Home Edition SP3 with USB 2.
If yes will i need any program for that?

For the moment these are the questions. If i face anything else i will ask you.

I am a new A-300 owner and I am experiencing some problem.
HDD WD20EARX and sometime when I launch my A300 this one can't detect any HDD
A300 problem or HDD problem !!!!
I have to run more than one power cycle in order to see my HDD detected
