RE: Cant play AVi files on my popcorn c200
No problem. Checkout this WIKI page and post the Mediainfo output:
http://www.networkedmediatank.com/wiki/i...ook_for%3F If the sound works and no picture I would guess that they are some camera output rather than a PC video encode. You may still have to encode the video to a spec that the player can play but let's see the output first. If its DV capture then you'll have to use something like Handbrake or xvid4psp. Yep like Chris says DV video isn't available on the PCH.
You will need to convert it. Samsung PS51d8000, Onkyo 509, Tannoy EFX5.1, Xbox 360, Popcornhour C200, Sky+HD, Wii, Harmony one |

RE: Cant play AVi files on my popcorn c200
Unfortunately AVI is a container not a video codec, as such lots of AVI files will work. (mainly because they normally contain xvid codec video with mp3 audio).
AVI is a supported container DV codec isn't supported. I would recommend going for something like MKV container H264 video and ac3 audio.. Samsung PS51d8000, Onkyo 509, Tannoy EFX5.1, Xbox 360, Popcornhour C200, Sky+HD, Wii, Harmony one |

RE: Cant play AVi files on my popcorn c200
Take one of the files and encode the video to x264 and change the output to a MKV container. I'm using TMPG Video Mastering presently and find its great for replicating the specs of the orginal file whilst rencoding to a AVC codec, the PCM audio you can also convert to AAC. The resulting MKV should be far smaller in size with little quality impact.
Test it and see if you like the results. If you do then do a batch rencode on all of the files. Plus side is that you should find that the 800Gb of files reduces significantly in size to something more manageable for you.
