A-210 Remote Control malfunction
Hi,
I have an A-210 and a couple of days ago the remote control start to malfunction. It only works when I put the remote very close ( actually touching) to the IR sensor's plastic screen on the main unit. I changed the batteries, unplugged power cord and plugged it again, tried a hard reset, and installed the latest firmware, all of those actions didn't make a difference. I read a thread here about soldering a capacitor to the IR sensor, but it was about A-100 don't know if it's the problem with my A-210. Also, according to the thread the capacitor problem is due to power supply noise from the hardrive, but I removed the HD and the problem continues. Other than that, the unit works perfectly. It plays videos like it used to. I doubt the problem is from the remote itself, but I can't confirm on that because I don't have a universal remote control. Could someone help me with this issue ? I'm trying to avoid RMA because my main hobby is watching movies and I'm afraid using RMA service will be a long road without my player. Thanks! |
