Automatically decreasing volume at HDMI/PCM
I have quite a weird problem: having moved my A-100 to another apartment recently, I now have A-100 connected to a Samsung 40" LCD TV (LE40M87BDX) via HDMI. A-100 is set to convert all my audio to Analog/PCM and send via HDMI Audio to the TV. Everything is fine but some movies (mostly ripped cartoons for my kids) have weird sound distortion issues like the amplifier being overloaded. The A-100 is ok as it was playing the same material using the same setup on another TV (a newer Philips). I managed to trace down the problem and it is about the volume in sound tracks being too high, and lowering it to 0.2 or 0.3 using sox fixes it. However, this requires converting every single file which is not that convenient.
So my question is: is there a way to make A-100 do such conversion automatically - i.e. lowering the PCM volume for all the content? |

RE: Automatically decreasing volume at HDMI/PCM
push the volume button down while something is playing. it will lower the gain on the pcm sound.
