C-300: moving large files between front & back USB harddisks very slow
Moving large files between internal harddisk and external USB harddisk occur in normal speed. When I want to move large files from front USB harddisk to back USB harddisk the transfer speed is very slow (internal & external harddisks all Western Digital).

slow as in 50% of speed with internal to USB?
PCH-A100/A210/C200/A400 500GB EXT3 HDD<-->HDMIv1.3<-->Onkyo TX-NR1010<-->HDMIv1.3<-->Panasonic TX-P46S10 13 NTFS USB drives on 3 hubs attached to the A300, 3 Seagate blackarmour NAS 3TB The inability to setup and configure the NMT should not be disguised as a defect of the box |

RE: C-300: moving large files between front & back USB harddisks very slow
What happens if you compare the speed of a one step transfer from the one ext USB HDD direct to the other via remote.
Then compare with transferring from the ext USB HDD to your internal HDD. Then from the internal to the second USB HDD. If they are similar then as you have said transfer speed from internal to external is 'normal' speed you know that it is the transfer from the external to the internal that is taking the longer time. The could be down to the external HDD speed or simply the fact that the Sigma soc finds it easy to process outgoing data than incoming. You dont say anywhere what speeds you are seeing for any of the methods you have tried. Do the suggested tests and give speed rating so we can then compare and see if your speeds are A typical. RE: C-300: moving large files between front & back USB harddisks very slow
Yesterday I moved an 11 GB file from front-USB-HD to back-USB-HD. Transfer speed dropped to around 5-10% compared to normal speed when moving large files around between internal en external HD. Today I did an extensive moving test (5GB file) between internal and external HD's. I cannot reproduce the issue anymore (maybe file-specific somehow?) becausse all transfer speeds are between 6:15 and 10:00 (min/sec) which seem quite normal to me.
