The quickinfo can be opened in indexes by pressing "info" (i). It opens very fast since it contains only the plot (scrollable) and some mediainfo.

For changing the home screen:

That doesnt work :/. I try it with copying the home.control, too. But that didnt work woo. Still have the default evHell home screen...

Then the "menuHOME" value hasn't been changed. It'll only point to evHell home menu if it's "home", with "home_300" you'll see evZap home screen or an error.
Are you sure you edited the /Jukebox/evHell/settings.xml?

okay thx alot the home screen works now, but the weather infos in the home screen have no data, and the weather tab is missing in my homescreen.

EDIT:

The Weather tab is there, i cant see it cause there are a few tabs without icons, the people,categories,reset, about, and the help tab are all without an icon. And there is "no data" in the forecast and the weather info on my home screen, the rest iss superb

Are home weather infos missing on PCH and/or PC browser?

Have a look into the /media/home folder: there're no icons for about, categories, people, help but weather and reset icons exist. There're always two icons for "selected" and "unselected", eg. home_person_b300.png and home_person_r300.png. So you could eg. rename "person" to "people" (lower-case!) to get an icon.

Don't know why weather & reset aren't working. Could you show me the content of your home.control? Did you try if using home.control of evHell and evZap makes a difference?

I'm not sure about the evHell settings.xml file. Does it contain the default weather settings, i.e. something like

The "citycode" without a number is for the home menu. Perhabs it has been removed.

The home.control seems correct. It's the "originaltitle" values which are taken for the home menu icons. Eg. if originaltitle=weather there needs to be a home_weather_b300/r300.png. If an icon is missing you have to use an exitisting one and rename it to the corresp. "originaltitle".

I have the correct weather icon on my home screen, and i can go into the wetaher app, but on my homescreen the weather on t he screen and the forecast on the screen says "no data" wheni go in the weather app, i have my current weather plus forecast.

...thx for all the work safran (Vielen dank, iss ja echt spät geworden). Now all is runnign fine, looks great with that mixture . The only thing is missing, is that some icons on the homescreen doesnt have that homeslideshow thing, cause there are missing in evZap, i hope i found a way that these icons are with a homeslideshow, too.

Nice to hear that it finally works.
For adjusting the slideshow background see evZap manual 4.1.3.2.
If you're having problems with that you can also PM me in German tomorrow or so.

Are you using more than one Jukebox and if so are you sure you're editing the right one?

Yeah, some weird stuff. Footer images are missing, no posters or banners showing when I go to the movie or tv wall. When I select a movie the full page appears as expected with fanart/poster, etc...

For now I will just set everything back to Eversion, and try doing another pass with evZap later. Appreciate the help guys.

So I got my problem sorted out. For some reason using the evZap skin from my WHS (where I run YAMJ) doesn't seem to work. The evZap folder doesn't get copied over and many of the settings get broken. I just set up YAMJ to run from my desktop PC and everything worked as expected!

Honestly not a big deal to investigate why my WHS is the roadblock since I am perfectly fine using my desktop PC to update
