[FLASH SKIN] evZap! 1.2.1 (Updated: 29.04.12)

Hi All,

Any idea how i can add new genres to the evzap skin? I would like the new genres icons to show when i click the "genre" icon on the main evzap page. It is currently set to 15 genres, but would like more. If this can be done, Please can you let me know how i can set this up

List of the genres i would like to add : "Horror" "Crime" "Martial Arts" "Western " "War Films"

Finally, how i can group all the "Walt Disney Pictures" movies so i can create a genre called "Disney"

Hi,

that's something you have to set up in YAMJ. Eversion/evZap is only taking the genres it gets from YAMJ. Afaik you need to modify the genres-default.xml and re-run YAMJ. In that file you can add new genres ("genre name=") and define what (existing) genres ("subgenre") should come within these new genres. (see YAMJ Wiki for more details).

If an evZap icon is missing for the new genre, have a look at the media/genres folder and duplicate&rename existing genre icons to the new genre name (there're always two for each genre: "on" and "off").

Hi,

Hi All,

I grouped some of my movies (mainly boxset) using the filename method and so far I have got all working except one issue.
While scrolling through my movies in the boxset i noticed the backdrop does not change. I have attached 2 pics which shows the same batman backdrop showing when i am viewing "batman forever" and "Batman". Currently, the default backdrop is "Batman" so while scrolling through the list this did not change

Please how can i fix this? I would like each movie's backdrop to show while scrolling through the boxset movies

From memory it picks the first film's fanart for the set unless you specify a set fanart specifically. It doesn't change the way you want at the moment.

That's the default (wanted) behavior since I prefer set fanart for TV series and movie sets.

But you can change that easily:

- In the folder ../evZap/code look for the file infolist.eskin (for movie boxsets) and/or infolistbanner.eskin (for TV sets)

- open it with notepad++ and look for the following code block

PHP Code:

        <fanart>
            <file>[:@jukebox:][:@indexurl:].fanart.jpg</file>
            <!--<file>[:@jukebox:][:fanart:]</file>-->
            <hyper>4</hyper>
        </fanart> 


- comment out or delete the first "file" tag line and activate the second "file" line (i.e. remove <!-- and -->):

        <fanart>
            <!--<file>[:@jukebox:][:@indexurl:].fanart.jpg</file>-->
            <file>[:@jukebox:][:fanart:]</file>
            <hyper>4</hyper>
        </fanart> 


But it will slow down browsing (big images need their time loading)! You can also try to set the value hyperscroll=true ("segment" block) and lower the fanart "hyper" value in order to browse faster; but fanart won't switch instantly anymore.

- change the file in your Jukebox folder AND in the skins folder! (no new YAMJ scan needed)

Now the fanart (hopefully) should change in the set screens.

Since your infolist and movie detail screens use the same fanart images ('cause there's only one for each movie) the darker background overlay doesn't fit with the white border lines anymore...

Yeah i noticed that when i checked another boxset "American Pie" which had brighter backdrop images. It really does not look so bad though so i'll probably just keep it this way

Hey guys,

been playing with this for a couple of days now. great job.

The only thing I seem to be having a problem with is the HD icon on the home screen.

when I press, I get ERROR, Problem with the file ./Other_HD_1.xml

could someone tell me why ?

check if you have enable the HD (720/1080) category in the category-default.xml and if you have HD movies referenced.

HD, HD-720 and HD-1080 are all set to true in the category-default.xml.

What do you mean by "and if you have HD movies referenced" ?

It was to do with my category.xml file and not the category-default.xml file.
