I think so it is not so easy to understand the good reason of this.
I can create a new Yamj issue without a lot of hope.

I am still confused why we need people, person,cast,director . . . there all the same and should be in the people folder with a title field in the xml.

It is not exactly the same thing:

Cast is index of all movies for the same people who is actor
Writer is index of all movies for the same people who is the writer
Director is index of all movies for the same people who is the director
Person is index of all movies for the same people who is actor or/and director or/and writer
People is only a sample xml with a personal information (biography, birthday, picture ...)

If you don't need this information you can:
- deleted Cast,Director,Writer,Person from mjb.categories.indexList=Other,Library,Genres,Title,Set,Country,Year,Rating and keep only what you want
- set mjb.people=false and mjb.people.scrape=false

But I not an expert and my english is limited. Perhaps someone will say more about that.

Hi, I am using evZap along with Legion mod. The problem is all TV show description is coming in German but movies are coming in English, I need TV info also in English, how can I fix this...thanks for the help

for tv try to play with in moviejukebox.properties
thetvdb.language=en
thetvdb.dvd.episodes=true
themoviedb.language=en

need to suppress the xml corresponding before the yamj run

The look of EvZap! skin encouraged me to retry with YAMJ and it was worth it; the whole family are enjoying too.

Now there isn't much I want to tinker with, but is there a way to work towards having the background fanart slideshows on the Home menu start from a random image and work radomly through the (up to) 20 available images? Alternatively, just starting from a random point within the 20 images and moving sequentially from that point?

I'm guessing this is a rewrite of each *.swf?

yes you need to rewrite a new .swf which will do what you want

i'm afraid not a lot, i you find very slow perhaps test evstreamed which is more light
