As you know, I have been playing with jlauwers code and now have working ISO, VIDEO_TS as well as better handling of ?,',& etc in file names.

The ISO works like any other file type as long as the file is named correctly. The VIDEO_TS support, im not sure about as i am unsure how YAMJ's watched feature works with these folders.

On my setup i have
/Films/NAME/NAME/VIDEO_TS
/Films/NAME/NAME.nfo
/Films/NAME/NAME.jpg
/Films/NAME/NAME.fanart.jpg

Given this i have made it so the watched file is
/Films/NAME/NAME.watched

Can anyone confirm if this is correct?

I can confirm Video_TS and .mkv watched files are being correctly created now with (') in them for me.

My folder structure is similar:

/Films/Name/VIDEO_TS
/Films/Name/Name.nfo
/Films/Name/Name.jpg
etc

or for mkv files:

/Films/Name/Name.mkv
/Films/Name/Name.nfo
etc

I haven't had the chance to test movies starting with a number such as 17 Again but I will and report back. Those were the only two types of errors I had run across. I will also look for (&) (?) and any other symbols in my movie titles and test.

I didn't think watched files were being created for VIDEO_TS folders, well i tried and it didn't send info to trakt or make a .watched folder.

Ill reset back to the standard version and try again.

I have been using Pchtrakt for just a few months but it always has created both .mkv and video_ts watched files for me, just not correctly when there were symbols in the titles.
I have Pchtrakt put all the watched files in a watched folder, if that makes any difference.

Also I am not using Trakt.tv feature so I am not sure about that.

I just tested a clean install of pchtrakt and i could not get it to post to trakt.tv. I tried 2 folders and neither would see film title but it did make a watched file but i dont think it is right for use with YAMJ

/FILMS/The.Desert.Fox.The.Story.of.Rommel.(1951)/The.Desert.Fox.The.Story.of.Rommel.(1951)/.watched

So it makes a .watched file along side the VIDEO_TS folder, where i always thought posters, fanart and nfo's(and the watched file) should be 1 folder level up

Can any 1 else confirm VIDEO_TS folder do scrobble and are the watched files are seen by YAMJ?

When it makes the watched file for VIDEO_TS stuff, does it give it a name or just .watched? like it does for me.

VIDEO_TS files (Films/Green Lantern (2011)/Video_TS get a watched file named: Green Lantern (2011).watched
MKV files get named: Green Lantern (2011).mkv.watched

Yamj does pick up the watched files from my watched folder as well.

Question, is it possible the changes you made to fix the symbols error could affect the "Ignored Keywords"? I have that set in the .ini file as: Ignored Keywords = Trailer,TRAILER,trl,tlr
Or do I need spaces after the comma's?

I thought it worked at one time but I noticed last night and this morning that trailers are being added to the watched folder again. As an example: 17 Again (2009).[TRAILER-17again-tlr2_h480p].mov.watched

I had forgoted about a dedicated folder for the .watched files untill you said above. My changes broke it but i have fixed it now.

I don't think it would of broken the ignored keywords feature, how you have it is ok but maybe in quotes, im not sure as ive never used it.

While getting iso and video_ts working i had to add in a min time for whats playing as some iso/video_ts have trailers in the file and trakt would say the file was done after watching an advert/trailer. As long as your trailers are less then 90 seconds it should be ignored anyway with my changes.

I have git hub account ready so can ask jlauwers to merge my changes into the offical pchtrackt branch when he feels what i have done is good enougth

I will monkey around with the trailers and ini for the trailers. I didn't think the changes made had anything to do with it, but I figure it never hurts to ask.

I have finished with my changes. I have asked for it to be pulled into the main code but if you would like to try it out, you can.

You just need to open up scrobble.py and the pch.py files in the pchtrakt folder with a good editor (notepad++) and replace the code with the links below.

The file name has a "latin-1" character, pchtrakt so it fails to read it.

I tried looking for a solution to this but failed, we need a more knowledgeable python programer then myself.

Strange thing is that it did read it ok to start off with then failed, i could not even replicate that, would not see file name at all for me. What version of pchtrakt are you using? Maybe somthing has changed in a newer version.

The problem is usually becuase str() is used somewhere and it's not unicode friendly. There's a lot of complicated variations of str in frameworks like django you could borrow but format() works well and is c compiled code.

if that doesn't work then you might need to just alter the actual debug call to a less pretty Debug(u":: "+format(variable)+" ::")

Thanks for that accident, but was no good, while it did allow the logs to display the ñ i still could not get it to run while that was included in the file name, and it needed to be in the file name due to the watched file needing to be names the same as the file.

I decided to look throught how couchpotato/sickbeard handled thes names and alto not directly related, i did get some clues and now i have it working after hours of trial and error
I just need to test with normal names to make sure this has no adverse effects and i should be able to add to my code and issue another pull request.
