NAS Drives No Longer Visible After 03-04 Update
Hi All
I hope some one can clarify what has gone wrong here. I was being pro-active and am now regretting it. I only upgraded to the 03-04-110530-21-POP-408-000 firmware update this morning. My system was working fine before, but I thought it best to remain current. I now have no access to the NAS drives that supply movies to my C200. Here is my setup - C200 now with the firmware mentioned above and the new apps to comply with that firmware update. The apps were acquired via the 'NMT Setup Wizard' option. No errors appeared for either action. All looked clean. I have 5 Synology NAS units, all mapped as follows in start_app.sh - /bin/mount -t cifs //192.168.2.3/Media_DS01 /opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/SATA_DISK/Movies/DS01 -o username=nmt, password=BLAH /bin/mount -t cifs //192.168.2.4/Media_DS02 /opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/SATA_DISK/Movies/DS02 -o username=nmt, password=BLAH /bin/mount -t cifs //192.168.2.5/Media_DS03 /opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/SATA_DISK/Movies/DS03 -o username=nmt, password=BLAH /bin/mount -t cifs //192.168.2.6/Media_DS04 /opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/SATA_DISK/Movies/DS04 -o username=nmt, password=BLAH /bin/mount -t cifs //192.168.2.7/Media_DS05 /opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/SATA_DISK/Movies/DS05 -o username=nmt, password=BLAH (password replaced for security purposes) This arrangement worked fine prior to the update. Using Windows Explorer on my PC I can see the contents of each one of those drives as mapped shares. I can also see the mapped positions on the C200 up to the point of Movies/DS01, Movies/DS02, etc. However, where I would previously see content in DS01, DS02, etc, I no longer can. Normally,I would only have the FTP, Samba and NFS servers active on the C200. Seeing my issue above I decided to restart all those services. No effect. So, I shut everything down and started from scratch, bringing each of the devices up in the following order - Switch connecting all the NAS units to the C200 The 5 NAS units Router and Virgin superhub C200 from a cold boot (ensured services were active again) Finally my PC All of my devices have fixed IP addresses to avoid clashes. I can confirm that each NAS unit still has it's original content. To me it appears as if a service on the C200 no longer recognises the mount instructions in start_app.sh. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks in advance Leon *** Update *** Strangely, if I telnet directly onto the C200 and invoke start_app.sh the drives all come alive with no errors. It appears to be be working correctly again. If this issue occurs again after a cold reboot of the C200 I will reopen this post. |

RE: NAS Drives No Longer Visible After 03-04 Update
Thought this was a known bug.
The solutions was: After a firmwareupdate you need to use CSI to instal some app and then you can delete the app if you want. When you do this the start_app.sh will be triggert again
2 x C-300
