Well no, there is no software needed to install the wifi card, just plug and play...

Thanks for your reply but I have no option to do the configurations with a WLAN card, simply because it won't be detected and I only have the option to make a configuration using LAN.

Furthermore the WiFi card and the wires attached to it are rather vulnerable. Therefore I think it would be better to be patient and await the new firmware update instead if de-install en re-install WLAN card and manufacturers firmware over and over.

Is there any signal when the firmware update will be released to solve this bug? Does it have more priority (a quick release) due to this unexpected failure of WLAN or could it also take another month? I know your not the manufacturer, but you might know due to your experience...

This forum is no longer involved in any testing of new firmware so we moderators don't have a clue as to what is being developed and when it will be ready...

To bad you can't unplug the WLan card..

I just had contact with the Dutch helpdesk of Popcorn and the new firmware update will be released before the end of this month and should solve this problem! I will wait patiently...

Hi Guys,

I'd like to wait patiently too, but in this and the last release I had a bit of correct audio and otherwise no audio or stuttering. Tried every suggestion I could find. Any idea if the audio issues will be fixed in the upcoming release aswell?

I don't have any major audio issues with my A300 so why would this be in the C300.
Possible cause for your issue as far as I can tell is transfer speed related.. either network or optical drive...

I too think its a little bit ridiculous that a company would release firmware without even testing to make sure that all features continue to work afterwards. It shouldnt take more than an hour or two for one person to make a list and go through and check to make sure everything is working. Obviously certain bugs may go unnoticed, but something as basic as internet connectivity should be obvious. A tiny bit of time/effort on their part could do wonders to improve customer opinion/satisfaction.

I cant isntall this firmware at all. I tried online and i tried to put is on root directory on USB, its seems that nothing is going on.
Any help? When i try online the C-300 just freez




I am on this window, and when i press the green key the C-300 is freezing and i have to restart it with the power key.

When I bought this device I thought I'd open the box, plugin and watch movies/listen music. The only thing I saw was a useless display with a big J, and the device freeze every time I put a DVD/CD/BLURAY inside.

Then, after a month, you write a firmware to read a DVD (wow, incredible!) but wifi stop working (and there many other bugs and things that don't work).
We aren't talking about to write code to get to Venus, we are talking about doing things that a 60 Euros little plastic boxes can do since years!
Why don't wait a couple of months and put devices on market with a REAL firmware, instead of this alpha releases?
Hope you guys start working seriously, to get this device works.

Did you manage to solve problem;myself when I put power on it says loading then the screen goes blank;help+please

No idea if this helps but after installing this latest firmware my audio also had problems, all non Dolby Digital and non DTS tracks gave only pink noise. Changing audio settings didn't help but after a few minutes unsuccesfull trying more I got the idea maybe it would be some initialisation issue. So I powered down my C-300 (with power button on the back of the player) and put it on again after 20 seconds. Problems disappeared and my C-300 works fine now.

Doing a full reboot before upgrading a FW is also advisable as is after the FW upgrade has completed, to check all configuration setting and resave them and do a full reboot.

Hi, anyone else checked/confirmed the MN-200 WiFi problem?
Awaiting C-300(inc MN-200) delivery in the next few days and have a very bad dilemma to use it without retail BD-ROM capability (firmware 19-DEC) or without WiFi internet connection (firmware 19-JAN) both are quite strange to see in commercial product. Was not planning to use LAN cable at all.
