[TOOL] Does Ember support Season Banners?

Hi,

I've used Ember to scrape TV shows with the thetvdb.com defaults. Most of the tv shows are appearing correctly and I'm now onto the task of filling in the missing artwork.

Within a TV show there are season banners, for example: The Office has a season banner of The Office (US).S01E01.Pilot.banner.jpg that gets downloaded to my Jukebox folder when I run YAMJ (Yes, I'm a Popcorn Hour C-200 owner).

I believe that Ember downloaded this and not YAMJ but I could be wrong as it's in the Jukebox folder and not in the Movies folder.

Anyway, my question is simple, does Ember support management of these Season banner files?

I see many options for posters, fanart, etc... but not Season banners.

to xbmc, banners and posters are banners. you just have banner or widebanner(yamj calls this banner)..

It's an area of the tool where it's going to be 1 or the other and that's how xbmc uses and saves them.

I would get on the xbmc forum in the thread that someone is working on expanding the tool. I think they are looking at the variety of other work like clear and thumbs, it wouldn't be a stretch to ask them to have banners and widebanners as 2 different images.

While your post was detailed I'm unfortunately still confused. I think you are telling me that Ember doesn't recognize the filename type that I posted for Season banners and that I should ask the Ember team to work on this, is that right?

Are you saying that Widebanner = Season banner?

If not and there is support, which Ember type = season banner?

The season banner for The Office - Season 1 does NOT show up in Ember as selected (it does show up in the image options) so this leads me to believe it's not something I can set.

If this is the case it's going to make me REALLY sad because I really like Ember now and really don't want to have to learn another program, unless that program is better

the short answer is yes, you need to request this from ember. Right now ember works how xbmc needs images and xbmc doesn't have the concept of different types of artwork for the same title.

Ember can get you very close. I have been using it for about a month and have got mine set up so I only need to do 2 steps manually, not perfect but close enough if you want to control your art. See this post....
