[Bug] PC won't recognise Popcorn A-100 ?

Hi guys,Hope someone with better knowledge than me can help with this problem.
I've bought a used but in perfect condition Popcorn hour a-100 & when I turn it on connected to the TV it works as should,but when I connect the USB to USB cable from Media player to Computer the computer does not recognise the player & nothing happens.
I even tried the media player on my laptop & still nothing.
The player has a 250gb IDE HDD in it & I can hear the HDD starting up so I'm confused as what to do now as I was wanting to transfer films from my PC to the media player for the kid.............Please help guys thanks.

Do I need to flash the media player or something

Your firmware is the latest available for the A-100.

The A-100 does not have a USB slave port so you cannot connect it to a PC using USB. The USB ports on the A-100 are intended to connect external storage to the player.

To transfer films from your PC to the A-100 you should connect it to your network. Then, when configured correctly, it will show in Windows as network storage that you can copy files to.

Hi pernod,I'm new to media players & thought that as the player was not being picked up by the PC then it may have had 2 faulty USB ports.
I've found my stuff on the player using network & it seems it only picks up stuff from "My Photos" folder.
Can I change the Path to another folder ?

Should I delete this thread & post in a General questions thread ?
