Exclamation PCH C-300 Network Connectivity
Hi Guys,

I have noticed that my C-300 after being switched off looses network settings?

Basically I switch it off and when switched back on it does not have connection to the internet and the time is also all wrong.

Does anyone else have this issue?

RE: PCH C-300 Network Connectivity
Sorry, that is what I mean. I also only loose internet. It is as if the C-300 looses the DHCP settings each time it is switched on and off.

Anyone else?

RE: PCH C-300 Network Connectivity
Run through the Setup Wizard again on Home page.

Then if it is just internet and not LAN access it is your DNS addresses that are having issues. Try using manual DNS addresses and your routers ip as DNS1, then an openDNS address as DNS2 or your ISP DNS address.

I use a static internal ip setup, have a look at the WIKI:-

A400: SSD+SD Card(Apps), HDMI A300: USB(Apps), HDMI C200: USB(Apps), BD SH-B083L(SB01), HDMI
CAT6 Wired Network: TV TX-P42G20, HP ProCurve 1400-8G, Netgear GS-608/605, Synology CS407

RE: PCH C-300 Network Connectivity
This only happens when you switch the power supply off at the back. That causes the network to completely disconnect. The unit is only meant to be shut off / put to sleep from the front switch or remote.

No this also happened to me when putting the player into sleep mode with the remote. All was resolved with manually specifying the IP's.

Thanks

RE: PCH C-300 Network Connectivity
I am also having this problem. When I put the device to sleep with the remote, when I come back it will have "lost" its IP address (will have 169.x.x.x. address). Switching back and forth between Auto & Manual to force a DHCP refresh fixes the problem. I'm will set a static IP address to see if that fixes things but thought I would give a head's up because this smells off.

RE: PCH C-300 Network Connectivity
Yes isn't this a great piece of technology that can't event keep its time ...

My C300 and the nw router it's connected to are connected to the same power plug that I can turn on/off manually. If I turn it on, then DHCP won't work with the C300 because it's faster booting up than the router so it doesn't get a response to it's DHCP request and goes back to default. And since it doesn't recognize this, it never tries again. If I give the router a head start, everything works fine.

So my guess is that your DHCP router is not answering fast enough and the C300 isn't smart enough to retry automatically
