FTP transfer very slow
My C200 has always had a fairly slow network connection, but lately the speeds have really dropped. Transfers will start at about 6MB/sec but after 2 or 3 minutes the speed will have dropped to less than 2MB/sec.
What can I do to improve this? MacPro(2008) running MacOSX 10.6.8 / C-200 with Apps / YAMJ+evZap+Legion Mod / DroboFS 5 Bay (NAS) / Cat6 / Onkyo TX-NR609 / Panny 65VT30 |

RE: FTP transfer very slow
If you use third party applications (like the CSI apps) then you could try disabling them. Maybe even try reinstalling the C200, so you start fresh again.
Also check your network cables. Make sure they are properly inserted and don't lie tangled up with something that could add interference, like power cables, power supplies. |

It's just in the last week or so that they have started dropping off so badly. Haven't made ant changes to the network. Tried restarting the nmt just to see if that would make a difference. No luck though. MacPro(2008) running MacOSX 10.6.8 / C-200 with Apps / YAMJ+evZap+Legion Mod / DroboFS 5 Bay (NAS) / Cat6 / Onkyo TX-NR609 / Panny 65VT30 |

It looks like this may be at least part of the problem. Moved the equipment cabinet out from the wall a little to give the cables more room and transfer speeds don't drop as fast. They still get slow with large files but they are better. Looks like I really need to do some better organizing on the cables.
