Hires came about because there is no limit to the resolution idx/sub can handle. I have HD-DVDs and I can tell you that the codec assigned to the subtitle tracks is VOBSUB, not PGS. Just run eac3to against one of the EVO files and it will tell you the same. You don't have to convert to VOB/SUB. I convert all of my HD-DVD subtitles to PGS from the HD-DVD format. Thoughts on Syabas support? Share them here |

RE: Can't enjoy my A-210 - lack of IDX support
could be a eac3 error. picture of clowndb on an hddvd file http://www.mediasmartserver.net/wiki/index.php/Clown_BD shows them as pgs but tonmt shows them as subtitle dvd
http://www.networkedmediatank.com/wiki/i...enshot.png explain the .sup format of hd-dvd http://exar.ch/suprip/hddvd.php is it a universal hd-dvd? as i know they contained SDH according to this thread it looks like HD-dvd was its own format of a mix of things. http://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=121535 But rather then hires idx/sub native PGS in mkv would be better |

RE: Can't enjoy my A-210 - lack of IDX support
Forget about hires Idx. I took the subtitles i linked in the first post and converted them using BDSup2Sub to NTSC res.
I can see the first 2-3 lines of the subtitles on my NMT (woohoo!) But then it gets stuck. If i move the sync +0.5 i will get another 2-3 lines but then it will stuck again. If my popcorn supports low res idx i don't see it. Any help would be really appreciated. |
