Hmm TV Shows started running slow
Apart from a few issues I posted on this site, generally everything has been pretty hunky dory.
But I did a rescan of my entire database after correcting a bunch of wrong titles and while the movies wall is still running fast, when I switch to TV shows it takes maybe 7 or 8 seconds to load the wall, then about the same amount of time to load up the tv show when I click on it. The TV show wall itself runs fast, but it wasnt taking this long to switch to it, or to load details of a show when I click on it before? Again, the movie wall loads almost instantly, and when I click on a film it loads that detail almost instantly too. Have tried running another rescan, but no change. Anyone experienced this? |

RE: Hmm TV Shows started running slow
Hi Nomadski.
I'm experiencing a more extreme version of your issue. The Movie Wall opens fine however the TV Series Wall takes 80 seconds to load, it then takes another 80 seconds to open a season after selection, it then takes a full two minutes to start to play an episode (irrespective of whether it is ISO, mkv or vob format). If I stop playback I get back to the season screen without delay but reversing out to the TV Series Wall takes another 80 seconds. I have reset to default, rescanned all, with no change. The browser works fine loading TV Series files without unreasonable delay. Another helpful feature of NMJ - give you a chance to make a cup of coffee between making decisions about whether your really want to play the episode or not ![]() I have had this occur before with the December '11 Firmware release but another 15hr rescan (and an hour fixing the DB inaccuracies with NMJT2) would fix it. But two re-scans with the March '12 firmware and no luck so far. RE: Hmm TV Shows started running slow
Updated the firmware again, re-scanned, and 15 hours later - same problem.

RE: Hmm TV Shows started running slow
The very helpful guys at Syabas have sent my DB off to the Engineers. Will report back.

RE: Hmm TV Shows started running slow
Hey nomadski,
It looks like a bug. Got the following from Syabas: Hi, "Our engineers has identified this as a bug with TV series. We thank you for reporting this bug and we have logged this in our bug tracking system to schedule a fix. Please look out for future firmware release. Thank you" Hopefully to be sorted shortly. Not clear what causes the bug but it may be the number of shows/fanart/posters. I have 94 TV Series with 259 seasons and 1050 video files. Maybe, maybe not. This'll be my second bug! Don't want to find any more...
