How to watch Netflix on A-110

I have the A-110 popcorn hour. There is no hard drive in it and its hooked up to my internet via cable. No wi fii....Can someone please tell me how to watch netflix on my popcorn hour in laments terms? I am an idiot when it comes to this stuff so if anyone can explain it step by step i would appreciate it.

MSP community - thre is already a netflix link in there (on your default A-110 menu).

I've been trying to get it working, but keep encountering an error -

'function curl_setopt......'

and a stream of other 'jargon'. Looks like a slightly messed up API or similar.

I saw the app but every time I get so close to getting it started I get this screen.

If you get the 30 day PlayOn trial on a Windows PC you can play Netflix back via UPnP to see how you like it. It doesn't work well on the A110 but it will give you an idea. If you use NextPVR with the A110 the playback and UPnP functionality is much better and you will be able to watch whole videos and still control of the UI< but you might still be annoyed with the PlayOn buffering time. There are lots of cheap Netflix solutions that are better.

I have a full Netflix account, working fine on the main tv via the Wii console. Totally seemless setup, no trouble at all.

In another room I have the A-110 set up and would like to get my Netflix account working on this. Totally understand that there are better ways to view netflix, but I'd rather avoid buying additional hardware if a bit of fiddling can get it working on the existing kit.

I've tried setting a new media source :- I get the netflix page fine, but then things start to go wrong. Even using the http://apps.onthez.com/netflix/ on the pc to 'authorise' the device throws a strange error. So near, yet soooo far!

Bearing in mind I'm not the most knowledgable when it comes to configuring Popcorn related stuff (ie I know nothing at all)......
would you mind talking me through the solution you mentioned here....like how do I go about it and will I have any hair left at the end of the process?

@kmd I have no idea what onthez is or its purpose, I was taking about PlayOn http://www.playon.tv/ providing a UPnP interface to Netflix and other commercial services. Installing the PlayOn trial, adding the Netflix userid/password and loading it from the A110 Source menu is very straightforward even if you can't configure the PCH, but in my experience, it crashes a lot. You do have 30 days to try.

I also recorded a sample video of the PlayOn/Netflix (.ca) using NextPVR to an A100 before the Patriots dropped the ball yesterday. If you don't know how to configure a PCH, I wouldn't bother trying to get NextPVR to work but this link does gives you a general idea of what to expect from the UPnP interface. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yF3Zcpdr2Ko

If you wonder what I am doing other than randomly clicking, I am actually trying to find episodes of "The Office" or Madmen. It shows the clunky PlayOn UPnP interface, with a bit of coverart (no art available on the PCH). All the interfaces to other PlayOn services look similar

The big point I wanted to highlight is the extremely long buffering time (there is about a minute for 2:43 to 3.48) This delay is NOT because of the NMT, it plays within seconds of data being delivered, it is Netflix/PlayOn itself. It sometimes streams faster, but it is a consideration, and annoying.

Another thing to do is play from 3:48 full screen at 720p or 1080 on your PC. It gives a pretty good idea of what to expect from the SD widescreen PlayOn/Netflix content.

Older post, but I think I have been able to get one step further in this case...

I have an Netflix account and are able to run Netflix on my iPhone and Google browser on the PC.

Used the link from the posts above: apps.onthez.com/netflix/ ...and added it to the Webservice on my A-100.

I was able to get the login screen and button on the A-100, but that alone didn't work though..

I then used the same link on my PC, got the same screen and clicked the login button on the PC.
It asked if I was me.. (It had my First name on the screen) I confirmed and logged in on the PC.
I then clicked the login button on the A-100. It didn't turn out 100%. I then clicked the return button.
Then I was inside Netflix. It had som XML errors, but I was able to search for movies and they came up.
I was able to click them, but it faded out into en PCH blue screen.. Maybe a newer device will work..??
