please remind me how to make yamj rescan for changes

I changed a couple of options in the skin-options settings to remove country and to add imdb top 250 to the low list top bar when I ran myyamj.cmd the new movies I added displayed correctly and the old one were not changed I don't want to delete my jukebox folder because i have made several custom changes to many different posters and fanart that I would loose. I remember there is a way to make yamj just scan for changes to html or xml could someone remend me where and how to find it.

you really shouldn't make manual changes in the jukebox folder. You can specify custom fanart etc with your media to avoid a problem.

anyway, you are where you are.

the problem is that yamj doesn't know anything has changed because your source files are the same

I think you can achieve the result you want by doing the following. this may not be the most elegant fix, but it should work.

COPY your jukebox folder somewhere else (just in case)
delete all .xml & html files from your jukebox folder.

run yamj and it will redownload all details, but because the fanart already exists it should leave it alone.

if it goes horribly wrong you can copy your jukebox folder back from the copy you made initially.

Pretty good advice.

I would add one more thing, or perhaps an alternative approach.

Create a "posters" or "artwork" directory in the library folders (where the videos are stored)
Copy all of the jpg images to that folder

YAMJ will then use those in preference to downloading and all you images are safe from further jukebox issues.

Backing up the jukebox folder before doing anything is always sage advice
