[YAMJ] Cover/Fan Art Image Quality

Hi Guys,

Is their a way to specify within the code of the YAMJ - Eversion what quality/size images should the jukebox download?

Lets face it it I have a 51" PDP and the 150Kb image that got downloaded looks horrific on it.

Once again any assistance will be appreciated.

I'm assuming that it's the quality of the displayed thumbnails on the Movie Index that you're talking about.

In addition to what Omertron posted, or instead of,... you can easily change the quality of the displayed thumbnails.

Lets suppose that you're using wall.poster.full for your Movie Index ...

If so, look in the code folder under eversion/evstreamed and edit the file wall.poster.full
look for the below code...

change poster1small to smartposter1large. Then save the file, restart eversion. Your thumbnail quality should be alot better.

imho,.... YAMJ doesn't need to output 2 different movie covers,... one small one called a thumbnail, and a larger, better one called a poster.
(maybe it was needed for the older html skins) but now, Eversion (98%) of the time, ... always resizes the movie cover, so why not start with a larger poster, one with less pixelation?

Here are to screen captures showing before and after ,.. the first one uses the thumbnail image,... and the second one is using the poster image.
