Logitech Media Server - where is this coming from ?? + mp3 wont play
Hi there !
I bought a few monts ago a logitech squeezebox (internet radio), which I have connected to my network to read mp3s also located on my Synology NAS on ly network. Few days ago, I have installed the new version of the "squeezebox server" on ly NAS, and I do not know if this is linked, but I see now on my popcorn C200, et the same level as my shares, a "Logitech Media Server" entry, where I can see the artists, albums, etc etc ... But when I want to play an mp3, it tells me "Could not play". 1. Where is this entry coming from ? 2. How can I read my mp3s ? Many Thanks !! |

RE: Logitech Media Server - where is this coming from ??
The newest version of Squeezebox Server is now Logitech Media Server, which includes a basic DLNA server for the Logitech Revue player. It may or may not work on the Popcorn Hour.
You can switch it off by going into the Settings->Plugins page on the Logitech Media Server web interface. If you really want to listen to music through the Popcorn Hour then I think there is a Squeezebox client application which will give you the 'proper' Squeezebox functionality rather than be limited by what DLNA can do. Thoughts on Syabas support? Share them here |

I am asking before before upgrading, I alm pretty sure this entry was not there on my popcorn. In the Settings->Plugins , I can find this : Upnp / DLNA multimedia interface : add a MediaCenter and a MediaRender UPNP / DLNA AV to allow access to other devices through the network P.S. : I have just un-checked this option on the squeezebox server, and now it is not appearing anymore on ly popcorn - so looks like this is well the option which makes the "Logitech Media Server" menu appearing on my popcorn ... But mp3s can't be played in any case. Popcorn says "could not play". any idea ? Many Thanks ! P.S. I have tested, and the popcorn can play mp3s located on a share. But the mp3's accessed through the DLNA / UPNP "Logitech Media Server" can't be played. I can error message "could not play", although all my albums / artists, etc .. are listed on the popcorn. Any idea ? Many Thanks ! |

RE: Logitech Media Server - where is this coming from ?? + mp3 wont play
I've no idea.
I can't stand DLNA as it seems to do everything badly and nothing particularly well on every device I've used it on so I just disabled the plugin on my installation! Thoughts on Syabas support? Share them here |

Have a read here:-
http://www.networkedmediatank.com/showth...?tid=58601 Also do you have the NMT Apps installed and upnp turned ON? If so turn it OFF and your PCH should not appear in your NAS logitach server lists.
