[NMJ v2] How to do clean database scan??

Well NMJ is throwing up completely random pictures for my movies now since the last scan, all movie names and movie posters are completely mixed up.

All my films have a clean structure with nfo already in the folder, and this has seemingly just randomly happened on the last scan.

So before I dump NMJ in the bin (TV shows STILL running slowly to load wall and show detail, as I said in my thread which had 122 views and not one response) im going to try one more fresh scan.

What folders do I need to remove from the PH before I run a complete scan to make sure its a clean database? Just the nmj_database folder?

Thats how I do it. usualy once I get my daatabase close to perfect I copy the nmj_database folder to a folder named backup. incase I do something that messes it all up. That way If I do something that I shouldn't have I can always go back.

And Ember media manager will grab most of your posters and fanart for you. it helps nmj out having the images in the folders too.

I've had to start fresh a couple of times.

You can safely delete the nmj_database folder (or back it up if you're paranoid). After that go to the jukebox manager. It will ask you if you want to set up the NMJ Database and then will (sort of) guide you through the process of adding scan folders.

One bug that I've found (which I haven't reported yet) is that if you delete the folders within the Jukebox manager, after you delete the last folder containing Video content the NMJ will start a complete scan. And there is no way to stop the scan. This is a very annoying feature. So don't try to clean it up from within the jukebox mangler, it will only make it worse. You need to delete the entire database folder and start again.

I've owned my PCH-C300 for about a month and had to do this 3-4 times to get it set up correctly.

Yeah I have full nfo (created in yanfoe) and jpgs (from same) in the same folder, hasn't seemed to help much.

K cheers, Ill just delete the database folder from my pc over network and start a new scan.
