audio issues on mkv's

hi ive been noticing on a lot of tv shows that ive been watching has been having issues with thenbackground music cutting in and out. it doesnt affect the dialog but when there is background music that has issues. has anyone else had this issue or have any ideas?

Not sure what you mean.

Could iut be that as the music player can also run at the same time as the video/photo player that you have not stopped properly the any music playback.

Always post the mediainfo text output in any post in the video or audio playback forum section.

its a tv show you know how sometimes they have a score to the video for effect thats what choppng up. it happens quite often on a lot of different files. ill get a mediainfo text for you shortly

sounds like multichannel not properly working.
Just a guess audio SPdif to receiver and HDMI to TV?

hey guys, it's HDMI all around. So i think i got a better idea of when this happens. The one's that i've seen this happen on are the files with 2 channel audio, and then my receiver is up converting them to 5.1. So it must be something with that process that is causing the issue. The ones that have 6.1 native i do not see this issue on.
So I can't put the fault on the PCH i guess, unless anyone has any thoughts on it.

your option is set your AVR to direct mode watch it with 2 channel stereo if no hiccups in audio you know its the avr doing something while its faking 5.1
