I do not know much about the C300 but the C200 has a button on the front of the box called DIM which can be used to turn down or turn off the front display. I expect the C300 has a similar feature maybe if there is not such a button on the front panel there is one on the RCU.

I think the button on the front is no longer there on the C300. But like the post above try pressing the BT button on your remote to dim the front TFT screen.
