YAMJ+Eversion - movies wont play. A300

Hi guys, a total noob here. First time user of PCH and just got my A300 about 3days ago. Here's what i'm trying to do: all of my movies are saved in my external harddrive and i want create a jukebox in my ext hd and connect it to my PCH thru USB. i read that A300 do not support html anymore and have to use flash base jukebox like eversion.

Here's what i did.
-i downloaded the YAMJ+Eversion all in one package (color studio logo)
-in "my computer", my ext hd shows as L: and the drive name is MYBOOK (no space)
-i ran the Gui, set the movie dir to L:/Movies
-select "jukebox for my pc only"
-change the path to "ev-usb://MYBOOK"
-save the jukebox in L:
-ran my_yamj.cmd
-it creates the jukebox but the movies wont play

can someone tell me where i went wrong? Thanks

You don't want to select jukebox for my PC only I don't think for a start. You want to pick "on usb drive attached to the nmt" and then pick the naming the nmt has used for the usb drive.

i just followed the instructions in dentedboxes. though i dont think it really matter since you will be manually changing the path anyway to "ev-usb://<drivename>". correct me if i'm wrong.

when i got home, i'll try to change the path to "ev-usb://MYBOOK/Movies" and see if that works. but if anyone here have other suggestions, i'll appreciate it.

I had the same issue with a jukebox stored on an internal drive, and the solution was the playerpath which you need to edit in My_Library.xml on the YAMJ root folder. See what YAMJ tells you on the PH when you select the hard drive your using and click on playerpath on the right hand menu.

I don't know what you would enter with your drive being on a USB connection, but for what its worth I saw 2 playerpaths and the one which says "Eversion only" was the one I used, and it finally worked.

The gui can't really look up anything correct anymore, it's so old.. the pc path is the instructions I give because it lets you manually type out the path without looking up and confusing you or adding anything to the path incorrect.

Hi,

I can add the YAMJ + Eversion libary to my A300, but cannot play.

For the record, I use an External HD (named DATADISK) attached to the NMT. Hereunder my My_Library config. I suspect it is a path issue. Can you help me?

All the movies show up just fine, but can't seem to play. No errors are displayed.

what does the yamj app tell you the path should be?

go into the apps market get the yamj app on the right hand side is a button that says player path help

Already did that, YAMJ playerpath for eversion only says:

ev-usb://DATADISK . Did put that in my library file, not working.

after you put it in your library file did you rerun yamj?

Yes, ran MY_YAMJ.cmd again. Run is successfull, but still not playing the files.

make sure yamj updated the xml files open one of yyour movie xml files and look for the path to make sure its correct

I think the fileURL isn't updated, am i rught?
