A-210 Gigabit connectivity issue with WNDR4500
There was an other thread regarding this issue but it has been closed so I am opening a new one. I had the A-210 for a while connected with an old 10/100 router and it was working fine. FTP was always slow within the home LAN as of 1,500KB/s but I did not really care about that. I have bought a new WNDR4500 router with Gig ports. Now I am reading it that the A-210 is not really a Gig device. My fault I should have read it indeed it is posted that it is not full Gig. I do not mind if it is not running on lightning speed but since I have replaced the router FTP gets frozen to the unit after a few minutes and even Transmission stoped working from the box. I have seen a fix for this on the other thread and I have loaded it to the box via CSI but I am still facing this issue. The thread is quite old there might be a newer verison of this. Anybody aware of this or any fix for this?
Thanks a lot in advance. |

RE: A-210 Gigabit connectivity issue with WNDR4500
I have the 4000 and while I haven't seen the freezing (since i removed the internal hdd and went all external) I still see the crappy speeds...average 7.5MB/s on Gigabit everything and Cat 6 cabling.
I'd check the netgear forums perhaps, they're not bad. Sorry I guess this was more a vent than help

RE: A-210 Gigabit connectivity issue with WNDR4500
I would be happy if I could see it running on 7.5MB/s but it is down to 1.5MB/s and constantly gets frozen. The most intersting part that ping to the NMT is always working without any problem but Transmission stopped working at all. Weird... I am gonna try Netgear forum but since the same issue was noted for this box on any other Gig routers I doubt it can blamed on the router. I hope there is some workaround for this otherwise I will be disappointed.
