PCH A110 best wireless option
This is my first post. I 've read through your posts, but some of them are outdated and it seems some compatibility options have arose since then (eg TP-Link USB wifi N).
My Hardware is sony Laptop (10/100/1000 Ethernet) with two external HDD USB and esata. My router is D-Link 2740R Wifi-N and I've seen good reviews. I want to stream my movies wirelessly (720p and 1080p) from my pc to my PCH A110. Which is the best option? Please take into account any new hardware in the market. - Wifi bridge? - Wifi N USB (which is the best and compatible with A110 ? ) - Ethernet over powerline (if yes which - limitation: three phase current). Your help is highly appreciated. |

RE: PCH A110 best wireless option
As for wireless connection, the best results will be obtained with a wifi bridge, as many forum members advised before. USB dongle leaves all the processing to PCH so it affects both speed and quality of signal, unlike to a bridged connection.
With USB dongle I can watch 720p movies fine (up to 20 Mbit aproximately), via myihome http server, but 1080p movies stutter due to high bitrate. |

Reviews are saying that actual speed is ca steady 80Mbits and 1080p needs 40-45 at most. Does the wifi bridge have a better speed? Thanks. |
