^^ empty threats are pointless if the xtreamer worsk why not dump the pch and move to the xtreamer. But on another note my A300 never locks up at all. so maybe try a factory reset and see if it clears up.

The box fulfills my usage too under strict circumstances:

I use ONLY .MKV video files ripped from my blu's with MakeMKV
I use .SRT subs until PGS fix arrives
I don't use PCH-A300 for music.

Quite narrow usage, but works always. +300 titles.... all working.

I too had freezes and stuttering at first, but tweaking my network (switch) solved all those issues.

What did you do to Tweak your Switch?

My problems are it takes up to 90 seconds to bring up the shares and when playing BR files they always break up at the beginning for the first 15 or so seconds. It does the same when I move to other chapters and it's super slow.

In short I did the following:

I set LAN ports in my switch to handle ONLY 1gbit on both the ports (Where A-300 is connected and where server is connected)
I enabled flow control for those ports.
I use NFS sharing, not SMB
I set connection speed on A300 to "Auto" (gbit lan).
I use MakeMKV to rips my blu-rays

The firmware looks like never going to be released. It's again the same bullshit over and over.

It took 3 months to get the previous one. Now, it's been more than 4 monthes and still no firmware.

If you look at the history of releases across the products (pretty simple, look at support site firmware download dates), with some very minor exceptions releases happen about every 3-4 months normally.

As per the latest C-200 Public RC thread it sounds like Syabas are fully committed to updating the C-300 and A-300 firmwares.

"Because we currently need to get out a C-300 and A-300 build
which delays the public Release for C-200 Bugfix Firmware, we decided to release this build as Public RC first,
take note that this is a Public RC, it is not available as Online Update just as Offline Package."

Agree with you but there s many problem very annoying on A-300 (some mkv stuttering not on a C-200 , subtitle synchro after pause etc etc...) and we hope a new firmware will be released very soon now.

edit : arf C300 new firmware is out , why the A-300 firmware not ????
