On my A110, running the build.php with lighttpd from lundman, i changed line 613 in functions.php like this:
I know this could break things if there are non-UTF characters in the title, but i manually fixed my index.db to make sure they are UTF;

My current index.db has 400 entries;
full generation took 28 minutes and 6 seconds

Ooops, it looks like i forgot to edit another line with mb_substr() so it broke again.. fixed it an ran it again;
it only rebuild the genres/categories/etc..
This time it took 9minutes 45 seconds

The backend(catalog.sh) just calls "iconv -t utf-8" - not sure what form that uses to store the utf8 text.

To write to HTML, the front end(oversight) uses a utf8 library (utf8proc) , to convert to the form the NMT html browser likes, with following options:

Try to install libxml2 also and then try again. It was the dependency of xsltproc. May be it was not installed. libxml2 was the one which gave those warnings.

the problem is with html step
i post again my asking for enhanced (deseapeared with the forum reload)
- 1 - add the ability to select or group genre as with genre.xml in yamj
- 2 - add the ability to select (enable/disable) categories as with categories.xml
- 3 - take in charge preference.txt with skin_path , in place of hardcoded aeon_path_skin

Features:
  • categories.xml, genres.xml and certification.xml included, so you can customize the output, so the output will have a limited categories.
  • selected skin will be stored in preferences.txt, so you have to specify the skin in command line, otherwise the default skin already in preferences will be taken. You can even put additional skins under skins directory and you need do a little mod for some string functions to be compatible with xsltproc.

@Vad the JukeBox link from the web service menu doesn't work, returns the normal can not execute return popup. Anyway, Eversion works fine.
