M34A not starting
I have an e-great M34 and I have to restart for 3 to 10 times in order to boot. Once it has booted it sometimes won't read the movie and I have to restart it again. It does the same thing with or without an external HD attached. It is updated with the latest firmware and I have been usinig it for a little longer than 2 years (the warranty just expired). Any ideas / solutions?

RE: M34A not starting
Please describe the failure to boot further, along with what happens when you say "won't read the movie."
You say it does the same thing with or without external HD, but does that mean there is an internal drive from which you're trying to watch a movie? Or are you trying to play a file across your network? If you've got an internal drive, try to isolate that as a cause by taking it out and/or running chkdsk on it mounted in another computer. If you're trying to stream across the network, try to isolate that as well. Completely disconnect, remove the wireless adapter if you have one installed. Do you have other external media (flash drive, different usb drive) with which you can test? Check for other physical causes. Heat & airflow are easy to check. Perhaps a cat or other pest has been chewing on your cables? eGreat EG-M32B - 1TB Samsung EcoGreen F2 |

I'll try to elaborate the answer. I have two issues: A) The NMT won't start at all. The blue led is on but the LAN and HDD leds just blink once and then they remain off. The TV displays NO SIGNAL. After a few (3 to 10) restarts, the other LEDs remain on and the NMT starts. I have tried this with and without the HDD attached, with or without the LAN cable attached and it has the same behaviour . B.) Once it starts I try playing a movie (from HDD or from an USB stick) and quite often the Loading screen appears and then the TV goes blank . If I press the INFO button on the remote control of the NMT it displays the movie information but the timing information remains at 00:00:00. If I press STOP I return to the menu but unless I restart the NMT no movie/video file will start. PS I have no cat or other pet
