Anyone interested in a Popcorn Hour Controller.. as much as I am?

I love my Popcorn C-200 as a video-mediaplayer. It is great. But ever since I also own a Squeezebox Duet I prefer that one for audio. Simple reason: the great remote control (also on iPhone). Popcorn Hour does not have a remote that can easily be used without the TV screen or the little C-200 screen. Playing music outside (or otherwise away from the hardware) becomes a bit frustrating that way. The NMT remote app bij Theodorus Emmanuel only partly solves that. The Squeezebox remote on the other hand is an absolote pleasure.

So here is my suggestion: make a Popcorn Hour remote with a little screen, that operates like the Logitech Squeezebox remote.

Given the quality of their media player products, no, I would not be interested in a controller developed by PCH.

I've brought the poll results under the attention of the Popcorn Hour support desk. They said they would take it under consideration. They also want to expand their remote app a bit, which is very basic at the moment. The app in its current condition is just ... buttons on a touch screen. It adds nothing to their standard RF remote, it's just a toy. If you're going to make a decent remote control app, then do it like Teo Emmanuel did, and include decent browsing options.

What I would really like is for them to develop the aforementioned remote control device with a screen, with two distinct specifications
- I would prefer it as a RF remote instead of another Wifi-device so there are no connectivity issues. That's what kind of ruined my experience with the remote apps for iPhone
- With a basic screen. I don't have to have an ultracool screen, although having about the same options as you get with the Logitech Squeezebox Controller would be awesome. But I would already be very happy if the screen just displayed what is on the PCH-screen at that moment. I don't know if such a thing can be made into a RF remote but that would just totally fulfill all my needs.

Let's wait and see...

Not IR, RF. And I'd like to think I'm not crazy

Of course Wifi is great, but in my personal situation, especially when playing music outdoors, I found my wifi connection too glitchy, compared to my plain and simple RF remote. Just my humble opinion.
