Library path incorrect......
Hey guys. Just re-installed Windows 7, I knew YAMJ was going to give me issues, lol.
I have the one internal drive and then a few drives in the PC which are all mounted onto: C:\Users\Mark\PCH The videos on the internal drive are playing through YAMJ but the ones on the PC are not. I have obviously created the network share via the PCH. Can someone just take a look at my library and advise? I remember in the past I had to change something, but I t hink it's set up slightly different this time so aren't sure. Code: <!-- Library file generated by Omertron's GUI Config -->Thanks guys.... |

RE: Library path incorrect......
Note: I named the share Mark and the share folder PCH.
When I use the browser and click on Mark, it goes straight to Videos, Videos2, Video3, Videos4, Videos5, which are the folders that are mounted in the PCH folder on the PC. I'm at a loss and very frustrated.... |

RE: Library path incorrect......
Right..... Under network shares on the PCH.....
Host name: 192.168.0.7 (my PC) Share folder: PCH Share name: Mark And the user name and password are Windows log in details. I have my old library saved which worked and I have looked at the player path but can't figure out which bit relates to what. But since I reformatted I have things in different places. I'm assuming this bit is correct: <path>C:\Users\Mark\PCH</path> But it's this part I'm unsure of. Does "Mark" refer to the share or the name of my PC? <playerpath>file:///opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/NETWORK_SHARE/Mark/Users/Mark/PCH/</playerpath> Thanks for any help. |

RE: Library path incorrect......
On the PCH, you've named the mounted share "Mark". That's the only piece you need to include in your playerpath:
<playerpath>file:///opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/NETWORK_SHARE/Mark/</playerpath> iSkin: YAMJ for iOS, Android, Chrome or Safari. Supports Series 1-4 (Series 2-4 Flash compatible and zero-config multi-shares)

Is it relevant that when I use the network browser and click on Mark, it goes straight to the Videos, Videos1 etc and not the PCH folder? |

RE: Library path incorrect......
That's exactly what I expect. C:\Users\Mark\PCH is shared from Windows as "PCH", and is mounted on your NMT as "Mark".
So the folders/files visible through "file:///opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/NETWORK_SHARE/Mark/" are the folders/files in C:\Users\Mark\PCH Now, it is quite likely that you are running into the infamous mouting issue, where NMT's mount and unmount network shares as you enter and leave the shares in the browser. If you are loading YAMJ skin generated files from the internal drive, the share will not be mounted, because you will have browsed outside the share and into the internal drive, causing the share to be unmounted. The workaround is to keep the YAMJ files on the share (i.e. in C:\Users\Mark\PCH) instead of the internal drive. Here's a simple way to check the path.
iSkin: YAMJ for iOS, Android, Chrome or Safari. Supports Series 1-4 (Series 2-4 Flash compatible and zero-config multi-shares)

RE: Library path incorrect......
Thanks again for your reply.
Are you saying that I should save my Jukebox on the PC drives? I never did that before and that would mean I would have to have my PC on everytime I want to watch something. I only keep things I've watched on the drives on the PC and new stuff on the internal so the PC doesn't need to be on, but occasionally I'll turn my PC on when I want to watch something on there. In that case before, I would quickly navigate to the share on the PCH and mount it, then click on the HDD and all was fine. I really don't know how to use Telnet *scratches head*. I've just tried removing the share and add a new one but this time browsing for the PC instead of typing in the ip address. I did do this before and it found MARK-PC but said no content available. Now I just realised that since re-installing Windows I named my PC Mark-PC as opposed to MARK-PC. So when I was browsing for a share I don't know why it was showing MARK-PC as it's now Mark-PC. Anyway, I thought I'd rename the PC to MARK-PC and really thought that would work, but it didn't...... It still says no content found when I try to add a share and click on MARK-PC. So Telent..... Are you only asking me to do that if I'm going to keep my Jukebox files on the PC drive as I don't really want to do that :-( |

RE: Library path incorrect......
The telnet steps will at least confirm that the playerpath is correct.
To run telnet, do the following:
I'm sure there are ways to make sure the network shares are mounted so you don't have to worry about it, but I don't know what they are. If you have a series 2 or series 3, and you use the YAMJ with eVersion and/or iSkin, there is another form for playerpath that can be used that would allow you to keep the YAMJ output files on the internal drive and still be able to play videos from your PC. See http://www.dentedboxes.com/doku.php/yamj:install:share iSkin: YAMJ for iOS, Android, Chrome or Safari. Supports Series 1-4 (Series 2-4 Flash compatible and zero-config multi-shares)

RE: Library path incorrect......
most people store the jukebox folder on the network share which forces the pch to mount the share in order to get into it..

RE: Library path incorrect......
Ok guys, I appreciate what you're saying and thanks for sticking with me. It's just I definitely used to have it working this way.
I'm convinced it's something to do with the naming of my PC (MARK-PC) although I could be way off. Remember, I had re-installed Windows and this time the PC was named Mark-PC but when I went to add the share and hit browse, it found MARK-PC. Well changing the name of the PC back to MARK-PC doesn't seem to have worked. It's odd. If I select the icon for Network Browser, I then get the option of clicking on Network Borwser or MARK-PC. Clicking MARK-PC takes me to my Video folders and everything plays. If I click on Network Browser, I have the option of PCH-C200 or MARK-PC and if I click MARK-PC it says no content found. Same as if I try to add a new share and hit browse, select MARK-PC it says no content found. Bamboozled..... Oh, I tried the telent command, but it says telnet is not recognised as a command. Don't I need a Telnet client or something?.... |

RE: Library path incorrect......
Done!
Decided to completely delete the Jukebox folder and start again. But not sure if it was that. I was reading other threads and read to change some settings in the Network Sharing Centre. I changed the file sharing encryption and removed the paswword protection. But I really didn't think this was the issue as I could see the Video folders on the C200 and play them without YAMJ. But I just clicked on Network Share, browse, MARK-PCH, and voila! I could see the folders. And the vids played via YAMJ. Ironically though now the vids on the internal drive aren't playing, lol..... But I'm working on that.... |

RE: Library path incorrect......
there was a user who had a lot of troubles getting paths to work, eventually it was noticed that a possible bug in yamj wasn't updating the paths and he had to reset the jukebox folder like you just did.

RE: Library path incorrect......
Well it would appear I can't get the videos on the internal drive to play now but the ones on the PC do. How ironic.
When I create the Jukebox using the config tool and I choose the internal drive, should I be naming it SATA_DISK_A! or just HARD_DISK. I have tried both but without success..... This is the current library: Code: <!-- Library file generated by Omertron's GUI Config -->Any ideas chaps? |

RE: Library path incorrect......
You need to use the path that the pch thinks it is.. btw, the generic names like SATA_DISK_something the pch can change the paths when it feels like it.. very common if you use usb tethering (not in your model) or pop the drive out and put it back in later..
go into app market and load up the yamj app.. there's a playerpath help section that will tell you exactly what path the pch thinks it is.. Use that and add /Video to the end. Now, yamj may not update just the paths when you run it.. you might need to delete all the xml files and let it rebuild that part of the jukebox folder again.. you can test this by picking 1-2 movies on your internal drive and delete those xml files.. if the new path works for those 2 but not hte others, you'll need to redo the xml for at least all the internal stored files. PS-Stop running the yamj gui.. great for first time help because there's a few config files you need to make but after that you end up destroying your working settings.. use a text editor and just edit the my_library.xml file. |
