No subtitle activation on tv series on C300
It seems that subtitles added to a tv serie won't activate although the external subtitle was recognised in the main screen.
I am using the exact same file name for the .srt subtitlefile as for the moviefile (beginning with S01E01 etc...)

Am I doing something wrong?

Not sure what is wrong as i'm not sure what you are doing?

Always post a mediainfo output so we can see what type of subtitles they are and if there is anything obviously wrong in the files.
Try the Test Files to see what type of subs you have issues with.

A400: SSD+SD Card(Apps), HDMI A300: USB(Apps), HDMI C200: USB(Apps), BD SH-B083L(SB01), HDMI
CAT6 Wired Network: TV TX-P42G20, HP ProCurve 1400-8G, Netgear GS-608/605, Synology CS407

The tv serie (The Wire) consist of VLC media files (.mkv) and should already contain the subtitles. (are recognized in the main screen).
The second tv series (Columbo) consists of AVI media files, the subtitles are *.srt -files. These external subtitles are recognised in the main screen but could not be activated during playing of the episode.

What do you mean with "try the Test Files"?

Is this all the information you need?

RE: No subtitle activation on tv series on C300
Perhaps a stupid question, but have you added a prefered subtitle language in your settings?
(See page 20 of the C-300 User manual downloadable from the Popcorn hour homepage)

For me it starts everything with subtitles when available in the language I've set. (English, since most I watch is Japanese animation and drama series.)
It also starts the English subtitles in places where I don't necesarrily need them like Hollywood movies, but I have less trouble having to occasionally turn them off instead of having to turn them on the whole time. Wink
