Could not play 10353 (PCH C300)
All,
I just got my new C300 with LG BD drive and 500GB HDD. I was asked to build network player with DVD and BD compatibility. My setup: C300 Firmware: 05-01-120118-23-POP-420-00 Kernel: 23-POP MNT: 05-01-111007-23-POP-420 LG BD Model BH10LS38 rev 1.00 And WD 500GB 2,5" SATA... PCH box is connected directly to Samsung TV using HDMi. Now... SAMBA and NFS access is OK MKV, AVI playback is OK DVD playback is OK BD playback is NOT working I checked this forum and then I set BD/DVD region (DVD:2, BD:B - Czech Republic). It still not working... When I select BD disk it start loading but fail with this message: "Could not play 10353" I tried that with four differend BD disks: Avatar Shutter Island Julie&Julia Capricorn One All rented originals... Unfortunately no luck. Can anyone help? Thanks, Klokos |

I'm not sure it is compatible with a DVD/BD burner build for PC...

Ahh... That is game changer!
I thought that it doesn't matter - it was only +10€ for the fulll BD writer instead of COMBO. Well... I will exchange it later today and I will let you know. |

RE: Could not play 10353 (PCH C300)
I would ask PCH Support as the C series was developed using LG drives so I would have expected LG to work even if the drive can write as well as read. So it would be good to know if the fact that a ROM drive can also write causes the problem or not.

RE: Could not play 10353 (PCH C300)
C200 owners were deligent at adding their hardware experiences into a WIKI page to help each other with queries like this:-
http://www.networkedmediatank.com/wiki/i...ray_drives C300 owners not the same as although the page is up not many seem to enter any helpful information: http://www.networkedmediatank.com/wiki/i...ray_drives If I was to make an educated guess I would say it would be fine as it is reported as working on the C200. RE: Could not play 10353 (PCH C300)
I went on that page before I opened this thread.
I found this: ...So far LG, Sony Optaric and LiteON BDROM's all stutter at the 38Mb/s bird test file when on a DVD-R... ...They all however seem to play retail discs without problems. Read the users notes... I will report my progress and I will update this Wiki! Thanks |

RE: Could not play 10353 (PCH C300)
That was made at the time of the C200 launch and refers to non retail disc, or burn retail disc, playback. It does not refer to any particular model and was tested by burning various files onto a DVD5 and then playing through the standard browser.
Standard retail discs or burnt backups do not have any bitrate concerns. A400: SSD+SD Card(Apps), HDMI A300: USB(Apps), HDMI C200: USB(Apps), BD SH-B083L(SB01), HDMI CAT6 Wired Network: TV TX-P42G20, HP ProCurve 1400-8G, Netgear GS-608/605, Synology CS407 |

I just got new BD (LG CH10LS28 rev 1.00)
If you are curious what the result is ![]() "Could not play 10353" I found that I can check "BD license and DRM" using remote: BD Keys: Type C keys found DRM: Found Am I right that I should have Type "B" keys? Can this be problem? My location is Czech Republic (central Europe)... And screen-shots... http://gallery.me.com/mklokocnik#101414 |

RE: Could not play 10353 (PCH C300)
No type C should be fine its what my C200 reports. I dont have a C300, how do you get the key stuff same as C200, slow,2,8,2,8?
Make sure that you have the NMT Apps installed or have a 2Gb or more USB stick inserted for Bluray playback. You also must use HDMI. You also must set your Region for BD and DVD playback. Still no good then get onto support at PCH http://support.popcornhour.com/MyAccount...ofile.aspx I dont think 10353 is specific to ROM or bluray/dvd playback, its a standard error code for quitting playback. Try swopping over the ports of the ROM drive and the HDD. Also swop over the sata cables as a few of them have caused issues. Another thing, make sure that you try connecting the ROM drive to your PC. Then set the ROM drive firmware to the Region you require for when its in the PC, play a Region protected disc for your region and if you do not have AnyDVD running your PC will ask to set the region on the ROM drive. Also make sure that you update the ROM drives firmware to the latest whilst you have it in your PC. Check the manufacturers site and ones like this one: http://www.firmwarehq.com/ A400: SSD+SD Card(Apps), HDMI A300: USB(Apps), HDMI C200: USB(Apps), BD SH-B083L(SB01), HDMI CAT6 Wired Network: TV TX-P42G20, HP ProCurve 1400-8G, Netgear GS-608/605, Synology CS407 |

RE: Could not play 10353 (PCH C300)
- NMT Apps installed
- 2GB USB stick inserted (internal USB) I tried different HDMI, SATA cables and SATA conectors combination. I connected drive to the PC using SATA/USB bridge. I was able to play all my BD disks. Yes... It came up with BD region settings and I set the correct one... Drive firmware (rev1.00) is the current one. Still NO LUCK! I'll give it another day and then goodbye Popcorn... |

RE: Could not play 10353 (PCH C300)
Last suggestion is to try a Factory Reset.
Unplug your SATA data cable for the HDD and leave just the BD ROM and a 2Gb or more USB stick in the internal USB slot on the right handside of the motherboard. Make sure that it has nothing on it and is FAT32 formatted. Make sure the ROM drive is connected to the first SATA port, labelled SATA0 or SATA1. Then ensuring your power SATA cable is also connected to your ROM drive fire up the C300. Give iot sometime and after its full booted etc. go into Settings > Maintenance and select Reset to Factory Settings or whatever its called. REBOOT. then after its fully booted give it another try on disc playnack. Just watched the Games of Thrones Bluray backups on my C200 so they could be good ones to test if you have them. Try some old and new releases. See if you can get some to play rather than 100% failure. If you prss play or enter and it is already trying to play you get the 10353 error. It takes a good couple of minutes for the BD to get to its menus and in between you get a few different loading icons/screens, menu language screens, advert for studio, and then fi9nally the menu, in between constant HDMI resyncs as the screens quite often have different resolution and fps to the actual movie. So you really have to be patient. Perhaps even press 'enter' and then walk away and make a sandwich ![]() It will delete your saved network shares but that's not enough to keep you going whilst they fix the playback through firmware updates in any case so i think you'll be able to live with that one. The BD discs you have, are they from one studio or others. Can you post some info on them from AnyDVD or similar that shows things like the AACS version and region protection, java protection, structure protection, and other studio specific encryption or protection. Bluray is still new in terms of some stability to authoring or what the studios do or dont do with their original or rental discs. Have you given PCH support a request for help via a support ticket yet? They may have some news on the subject through others reporting the problem on other ROM drives makes and models, so not blaming a model or make incompatibility but having to get SIGMA to look at the code they supply SYABAS for bluray playback perhaps. We had disc playback issues for quite some development time with the C200, the last AACS key update plus the adding of a bluray menu language settings option have been added by Syabas to fix the issue. So if it dont play now does not mean it wont ever. you can of courese test the player with backups you create on your PC with AnyDVD-HD, free 30 day trial, or other software. Try: 1. Full 1:1 backup 2. Backup but with annoying adverts and region coding removed 3. Backups with encryption removed. 4. Backup with region, adverts, and encryption removed That way you would be able to tell if its a total falilure or pinpoint where it is having a problem.
