[NMJ v2] Problem NMJ + QNAP

Hello there,

(I've used the NMJ V2 as a prefix but I don't which one I have...how can I know? :blush

I've read a lot of guide/post and can't seem to find the answer to my problem.

I have a C-300 and a QNAP NAS with 5 3TB HDD into RAID 5.

I can have access to file and play movies via Samba and NFS.

My movies are set like this on my NAS :
/Multimedia/Video/Movies/"Title of the Movie"/ and then the mkv, jpg poster and fanart and the nfo.

When I try to set up the NMJ database in any ways (SAMBA OR NFS) here is what I do :

- Go and select my share folder Movies/ and then hit the NMJ button.
- It says "create NMJ for this device" and I choose YES
- It then brings me to the jukebox manager menu and I choose "Scan entire folder"
- I select the language, select Video as media type and do not select the "auto download fanart" as I have all mine already.

....and then oops....an error has occured.... I then hit cancel.

I can see that it has created a folder named "moviesnmj_database" on the NAS but only with subfolders and nothing more.

What can I do?

(I have also read somewhere that maybe it should write the database onto the usb stick I have put inside the C-300 where my apps are installed but don't how to do that...)

couple things. if you have a 300 series you have NMJv2

Now database should be on the share if it was read/write permissions if no write permissions it will store it in the local usb storage that has NMT apps installed to it.

There have been issues in the past with running nfs and making the db have you added the share or are you browesing to it?

I have added both the samba and the NFS share and I can't run the DB on both of them..but can access the movies and play them on both.. ...isn't it strange that it creates the nmj forlder on the NAS but can't run the scan?
