Tv show strange behavior
Hello all. Due to some other problems I was having (now resolved) I had to recently rerun my jukebox
I’ve noticed for a couple of tv shows, I’m now getting two icons. For example for the show ‘no reservations’ I have a two identical thumbnails for the show, when I click one, it then shows me season 1 to 5. When I click the other one, it shows season 6 to 8! This is also happening for a couple of others as well, but by far the rest of my shows are showing the way I want- with just one thumbnail, and all the seasons behind it. Its very possible I changed a setting that’s causing this (in the course of fixing my other probs) but does anyone have any advice for how I can fix it? |

RE: Tv show strange behavior
Look at your filenames.. Specifically the part before the season and episode number.. they do not match and you need to fix them to match.

Unfortunately it is not a matter of file names. I noticed the same. I went back up to version 2.6 r2962 where the problem does not exist. Same settings always. I tried various tricks with nfo but no luck. I noticed the problem in Star Trek Next Generation and X-Men Evolution tv-series. |

RE: Tv show strange behavior
I'll bet money it's the filenames..
If you can correctly post 1 filename from set A and 1 filename from set B, I'll tell you what is different.. It's probably minor like one has periods instead of spaces.. |

You lose the bet ....believe me I spend a week looking for a solution with nfo edit since YAMJ process changed in the last builds. I installed all the builds till r3060 and renamed so all files using "total commander rename tool" and tv-rename application found here in forum (http://www.tvrename.com). r2962 have no problem at all. Folder/file names : Star Trek Next Generation -- > Season 01 --> Star Trek Next Generation S01E01.mkv Star Trek Next Generation -- > Season 02 --> Star Trek Next Generation S02E01.mkv Star Trek Next Generation -- > Season 03 --> Star Trek Next Generation S03E01.mkv Star Trek Next Generation -- > Season 04 --> Star Trek Next Generation S04E01.mkv Star Trek Next Generation -- > Season 05 --> Star Trek Next Generation S05E01.mkv Star Trek Next Generation -- > Season 06 --> Star Trek Next Generation S06E01.mkv in the example of Star Trek, always i have two group of icons, Season 01,04,05,06 & Second group with Season 02,03. |

RE: Tv show strange behavior
Your post isn't accurate.. Look really close season 1 and season 2.. whatever the lowest episode number is.. you'll find somethign different in the filename.. a typo, maybe a period. something is different

RE: Tv show strange behavior
there is no point to continue this argument.
I renamed many times the files. There are no differences. Thank you very much for your comments any way. good night (its midnight here). |

RE: Tv show strange behavior
for me, the names also seem exactly the same. all periods, capital, and spaces. they used to be grouped perfectly fine, until i updated yamj and rebuilt the jukebox...so its not like these are 'new' files that happen to be mismatched. tried renaming a few times through sickbeard but not fixed after rerunning yamj...
i am on build r3049 |

RE: Tv show strange behavior
Interesting, I guess yamj at some point started to use more than just filenames for duplicates.

RE: Tv show strange behavior
TV Sets are compiled using the "Title", if the NFO overwrites that or changes it, then the chances are that it gets a different entry

RE: Tv show strange behavior
from my research...
The problem appeared in r3042 when a developer tried to Fixes issue 1368 (Support XML NFO files without a root element) After that all builds have the issue. Seems that some changes made to nfo parsing.... |

RE: Tv show strange behavior
Can't trust that developer. All his work is shoddy.
What you may see happening is that NFO files that were previously ignored because they didn't scan properly are now being picked up and used. |
