A-300 slowdown when attaching network cable
I have A-300 since January and I have had no problems with it.. that is until tonight.
I was watching a movie when it suddenly became extremely choppy.. I managed to stop the movie but just using the interface was now very slow too. Like when I press a button on the remote it takes a few seconds to react. I rebooted the PCH, same problem. It became usable again after unplugging the network cable and a power cycle. Now as soon as I plug in the network cable everything slows to a crawl. Pretty much unusable :-( Internet access is just fine on other machines. I rebooted my router and also reset the PCH to factory settings. I have no idea what is going on here.. Does anyone have any suggestions? Edit: I'm not using any NMT apps, no internal HD and I have not set up any network shares currently. |

Yes I'm using external USB drives.
But it seems the problem has gone away.. Powered up the PCH this morning, plugged in the network cable and now everything is working fine again. No slowdown. |

Same cable? Could be faulty making the pch busy with a lot of errors

Same cable, I've been using the PCH all day and had no problems whatsoever.
Really strange, maybe something was up with my network yesterday, couldn't find anything though. Well I'm happy everything is ok now. |

might be early sign of power supply issues on the switch.. I had a couple switches that acted a ltitle slow and a week later died.
