Bluray drive problem
Hi all, managed to get my power supply fixed by replacing the blown parts but in the mean time, I noticed my Bluray drive says "no disc" please insert disc even though there is a disc in the tray. The drive was working fine before, is it dead or is there a way of putting it right? Please help.

RE: Bluray drive problem
Hi, i got the same problem in the same circumstances. My power supply burn out, after repair i noticed than my BR drive don't work anymore (no disc error).
Some1 have found a fix??? Compatible DB drive are so difficult to find with that player, it's a shame. My current one is a LG CH10LS20 but we can't purchase this anymore. I can't believe than the psu burn has broken my DB drive. There fking crap PSU (which last only over one year) with poor warranty (1y) cost me a DB drive too... I have some PCH atm, next time i think i will try a other cie. I am not impress by PCH service, and quality of product. The ONLY good things is firmware support and features. Later |

RE: Bluray drive problem
Same happened to me but the first time I removed the HDD also to hopefully be a little easier on the replacement power supply. Now I just put in another new power supply and noticed the BD rom drive shows "no disc".
Saw on another thread that you may need a HDD in combo. Tried adding another USB stick since I only have one internal 2bg but has only 1.85 bg available. Still get no disc but in notes the Blue ray - The Patriot is showing up in the USB group so its seeing the disc and at least reading the title. Gonna try a 4 bg stick when I can and see if I don't have enough storage. Dont want to fool around with adding a sata drive again as it adds to the heat. |
