A-300 and an IR (Infrared) Extender

I am a newbie with an A-300. I have searched but cannot find good information on my problem.

I have an A-300 in my AV closet. I have an infrared extender that works with my other devices but does not work with the A-300.

Can anyone help me with this? I am not sure what the problem is. I am willing to buy a new extender or whatever, I just don't know where to turn.

I Use Extender Marmitek on the a-300 it works fine

Thanks. Which model Marmitek do you use? So far in my looking they appear to only be available in the UK.

Does anyone have a solution available in the US?

I think I would like to go wired rather than wireless.

I would also like to know just what it is that makes your solution work and my extender not work. I am not convinced that a Marmitek wireed solution would work just because their wireless solution does.

I would also prefer to buy from a dealer in the US to make a return easier if it ends up not working.

Is there anyone else using an IR extender solution with their A-300?

Trying to keep this thread going.. I am looking for a WIRED solution that will work. I dont want to shell out money to find out it doesnt work. Does anyone use a specific WIRED IR extender?

I ended up buying the Hot Link Pro Remote Control Booster System from Amazon:

It works great with my A-300 and all my other equipment.

Thanks for the tip Sean.. lil pricey.. but might give it a shot. Was looking at the Sewell IR Remote control repeater for half that... wonder if I will lose something in quality..

Prior to trying the Hotlink and tried the "Cables to Go 40430 Impact Acoustics Infrared Remote Control Repeater Kit Black" (also from Amazon). It did not work with the A-300. It looks suspiciously similar to the Sewell that Amazon sells. But at least Amazon has a good return policy.

I'll also add that with the Hotlink I was able to extend the sensor quite away using a 30 foot RCA cable.

from amazon. Works like a charm. My A-300 is on a whole other floor and this works perfect. Thanks for the responses Sean.
