C300 and C200 Remote Issues

Hello,

I bought recently a new C300 model which is used now in a room, @5/6meters away from another PCH, C200 model.

I have a lot of issues because a remote of one of them could command the other PCH.

So every day, i have to shut down either the PCH which i don't want to use, either the other...

Sometimes, i use a recorder of PCH C300, the PCH C200 turns on... and vice versa.

I have to remove the batteries to initiate again the right recorder with the right PCH.

How could i make to solve this borring issue ?

PS: is it possible to have the previous interface of PCH-C200 on the PCH-C300, because, the C300 is very slower than C200. The interface displays less lines of entries. The NMJ is nice but ask me a lot of efforts to convert all my entries (series, movies,...)

The 300 series has a faster cpu and unlike the 200 series only runs flash. The 200 series with Flash and Gaya and a slower cpu is slower then the 300.

The RF remote is paired to the device. So take one out of range whilst you pair it to a remote. There are other threads on this subject which may have more detail on the exact steps. The WIKI also has steps for pairing of the RF remote.

To fix your remote problem

C-200 RF Remote Control Pairing for two devices in a single room:

For the C200 Device 1:
Power on and Boot up C200 Device 1 only
Take out the batteries of RF Remote Control 1
Wait a little time
Install the batteries of RF Remote Control 1, now C200 Device 1 is paired with RF Remote Control 1 after you press a button.

For C300 Device 2:
Remove the Power cord from C200 Device 1.
Power and Boot up C300 Device 2 only
Take out the batteries of RF Remote Control 2
Wait a little time
Install the batteries of RF Remote Control 2, now C300 Device 2 is paired with RF Remote Control 2 after you press a button.
If you Power up now C200 Device 1, RF Remote Control 1 should only match with C200 Device 1. Note: When you need to change the batteries of Remote Control, the steps above should be taken again to set the codes.

thank you Chris57 and thestewman for your answers. I will read the wiki about double remotes/units.

About c300/c200, i can compare both and there are some positive and some negative points.

As i can't use NMJ because not enough clear about episodes management, i use c300 in files list mode. And sorry, but c200 is faster in this mode, easyer to list up and down the files, smaller fonts so more displayed lines... ETC !
I have seen a lot of features or fonctions which work worse, or where we would hope working better than c200, as setting up (formatting 2 Tb hard drive, which is the progression ? for exemple)...
Why can we choose another group than "Workgroup" with alphabetical/digital password ? (samba issue ?) Password only in numeric format...
If i choose another group, i can always see workgroup...
etc.

In the other cases, c300 is faster than c200.

About two remotes/two units, i have already do all the stepped (?) methodes but sometimes, i must do another time... i think i must be in the setup on the screen to choose 1, 2 or 3 remote chanels

You could always use an IR remote with the C300 and the RF remote with the C200. Then you'd have a different colour remote for each player aswell.

On network side ask in Network Section and we'll try our best to help. I have my setup running pretty good now for sometime with my A300 and C200.
On NMJv2 I find it fine for episode management especially if you use NMJv2Toolbox to clear up and misplaced or incomplete entries.

each week, i have to do the global methode to pair the 2 remotes witrh my 2 unit, c200 and c300.

this morning, after reading dvd iso, the c300 was blocked, and, in purpose of turn off it, i use Power button + just aftger, delete button on the right remote, three times to hope that c300 could get the asked action... nothing. But oddly, the c200 turn on... alone !!!

i will make another time the right steps.... and the 2 units are working fine with their respective remotes. (for my tests, all batteries are new).
