[NMJ v1] Skin Recomendations

Would like to change the look of my Jukebox and looking
for any sugestions.Is it even worth doing from what i can tell it could
be a daunting task.
But i would be willing to give it a go. Cheers

There are not skins to NMJ.

If you want a different flash look then you can try YAMJ with a Flash skin via Eversion. Eventually NMJv1 will disappear and you will only have flash so there's little point going html from fresh now.

Considering that the C200 last had a firmware release 50 weeks ago (I know that one is due immanently) and this firmware isn't the "all flash" firmware, chances are you'll have another 12 months with a PCH capable of running HTML & Flash skins, be they NMJv1, Oversight, YAMJ or UMC.

With that in mind, make your decision about what you have now, and worry about the change to all flash when it happens.

I suspect that by the time the 200 series goes all Flash, all the current jukeboxes will be flash capable too (if they aren't already).

I dont think it will be 12 months from the upcoming firmware to the port firmware. Syabas have given estimates on the port and none have been longer than 6 months. As you will be starting from fresh with whatever alternative and html may only be here for 6 months then why waste time on that, go flash skin now.

Whatever you do bear it in mind as NMJv2 operates in a different and in my opinion far better way than NMJv1. However it does not have skins but you can see what its like already on the 300 youtube videos.

The "answers" werner gave on how long lead me to believe they are busy and the "port" isn't going to be out this year.

However, the SDK docs released do have the api options that nmj uses documented so someone "could" make alternative interfaces using the nmj database and scanner data.
