RE: PCH A-300 frozen with no video output?
All the recovery bits seems to more or less require a output unless you're good at guessing... Without a "screen less" guide, it would be hard to upgrade. I still say send in and perhaps get it back with a new firmware or hw

Thanks for all you help. DHL picked it up yesterday, hopefully back in 2-3 weeks. Bought a cheap £30 player to keep me busy untill the pch comes back

RE: PCH A-300 frozen with no video output?
Have the same problem with A-300 from the start. "No signal" problem I mean. Bought new A-300 in January. And exactly after connecting and starting it for the first time I have this problem. I have a picture on screen with update prompt, but in seconds screen became black, so I didn't manage to read the update prompt completely. That was original FW. 25 October 2011. I tried other many inputs on my AVR or straight on TV, a lot of brand cables, HDMI, Component, S-Video. PCH didn't respond to Remote commands such as power for example. White LED lights forever. No heat. No visual damage. etc
P.S. I have a lot of similar devices, so I understand how to connect it correctly to TV/AVR etc. But next day it started(!) to work. Strange. So I have some freezes, but power off helped. Updated to second FW. Then to third and the latest when it became available. After months... But today while I watched mkv-file the picture disappeared. SAME symptoms. No signal. White LED. Nothing helps. With any cable, with any input. Can't start. For 3 hours now. No heat. No damage. No fun.

RE: PCH A-300 frozen with no video output?
I have a A300 (with latest firmware) too. On one MKV-film it freezes completly and I have to power cycle the system to get it back to work.
When I view the MKV-file on my PC with Classic Media Player and it shows OK. I hope I post it on the right spot. Can someone help?
