I've tried every possible solution without success. I recovered my firmware to an older version and now works everything as it should be.
I hope they fix this problem in the new firmware with the new gui.

For synology users you must enable your guest account on your NAS first... after that you will be able to login normally... then you can disable your guest account if you desire... I had the same problem with my 1511...

How can I install the firmware version before this one? I have a LG 47LX9500 wich restarts itself at random intervals after installing this firmware version. Have had several LG engineers visiting me (wich all replaced the mainboard without succes) and explained them the problem most probably resides within the UPNP stack. Now they will come a replacement for my LG TV.

Now i'd like the revert back to the old firmware verion before this new model starts rebooting itself too....

Thanks in advance

remove the networkcable from your LG TV, LG has a bug in the UPNP Code, so ask them for a firmware update for your TV.

You can return to previous firmware with flashing the recovery image.

Or you can firewall communication (both directions - just in case) between TV and C200 for UPNP ports at your router.

UPnP uses:
UDP port 1900
TCP port 2869

But ask werner if it is ok or not.

Yes its not something a board replacement will not fix either will a new tv they have an error in there code somewhere with upnp stack stuff, you can unplug the network cable from your tv or try to isolate the two from each other.

Hello, I skipped previous firmware 03-04-110530-21-POP-408-000 because of the known issue - not working S/PDIF Audio output.
I'm using PCH mainly for playing FLAC files through my DAC, so working S/PDIF is a must for me Smile. According to sanctrum's post about new firmware not playing bit perfect WAV/FLAC files it seems digital audio output is working again. Just to make sure, does it really work?

Actually I have tested MP3, not FLAC and with HDMI (not S/PDIF). You must relay on other people tests.

However as far as I understand the problem there is no bit-perfect gapless playback for any audio files at C200.
The main difference is that you can hear the short microsecond gap in case of MP3s, and no gaps at all for FLACs (potential problems with WAVs - see charly post at page 36). But it is still not bit-perfect… but who cares? You won’t be able to hear the difference…

I am worrying about MP3s – it has been announced that it is not possible to fix/improve it. The explanations provided by different people do not speak to me. In general it should be possible to make gapless MP3s regardless the coding bitrates and other parameters of MP3s. Even if there is a mixture of different ones. The prove is WinAmp or other PC applications that can achieve it easily (maybe not bit-perfect but no one can hear any gaps or differences to bit-perfect), so it looks that the architecture of C200 does not allows it somehow or that the fix is too complicated or just not cost-effective (too expensive). IMHO Sad

possible, we have to buy a different one to the NMT
for the music we like
I think not, I think we need to fix the problems
not exactly cheap, for the problems that have

BitPerfect playback of .MP3 (and other destructive compression schemes) is most likely not possible to achieve.

The reason for this is that (at least for MP3) the audio is encoded in frames of (I think) 75ms, and if the original .WAV file is not an exact multiple of 75ms, then the final frame is padded with silence to "round up" to an exact multiple of 75ms, AFAIK. The original playing time is not stored anywhere, so any decoding of the audio will contain some additional ms of silence at the end for 98.67% of all .MP3 files.

One could then - theoretically - scan backwards and find the last decoded audio sample that contains audio, but this is also not so easy. Since .MP3 is a destructive compression format, there is no way to go from a 90db audio sample to a 0db audio sample in one sample (just like it isn't possible to store a perfect white pixel right next to a perfect black pixel in a JPEG image file).

So for .MP3 files it is not possible to have bitperfect gapless playback, but you can probably approximate it enough for people not to be able to tell the difference.

When I start playing an .avi file, I hear no sound. NMT volume is set to 0 - when I press vol down sound is playing again, and I can turn up to 0 again. After playback end, the next file I play will again be without sound.
I am seeing this as well. Have to do a volume up/down and sound suddenly re-appears.

Ok. I can understand that.
But LAME-encoded MP3 can be gapless with players that support the LAME Mp3 info tag. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gapless_playback)

There are also some interesting listings. However not mentioning my old iRiver E100 portable MP3 player that fully supports gapless playback of MP3, OGG, etc.

That proves that "approximation it enough for people not to be able to tell the difference" can be achieved with very small additional processing power (not noticable even for old portable mp3). Just somehow it is not supported as should be at C200.

P.S. There is also another issue... Flash! Since now we all have Flash Lite based audio player... not the old one. (http://blog.andre-michelle.com/2010/play...gapless/). Sad confused

So now we see the whole picture of the problem? Huh

There are loads of portable MP3 players that do gapless playback, old (over 2 years old) and new. I would think it is the defacto standard these days. For people to say it is not possible is rubbish. It should be an easy thing for the C200.

I don't know about you, but I hear the lost pieces at track transition by playing FLAC. Lost pieces are not microseconds but about 3000 samples=60ms long!. It is not audible in most cases only because track transitions are mostly at silent places. I you play some instrumental music like Mike Oldfield or mixes with joined tracks it is quite annoying.

I have had the Rapsody N35 and the transition between songs were perfect (mp3)
and the network transfer rate makes it ridiculous to NMT

something else
I think they've got the firmware and only tried it with HDMI output
There are many problems with the composite video output
and sound with the RCA `s
