upgrade from A110 to A300
i was an owner off a A-110 but it was broke. i bought a new a-300 yesterday and am trying to install it.
i want to install samba application but the only option is to do a fresh install but i have almost 800GB on my hard drive and dont want to format it. is there a possibility not to format???? |

You can install the apps on USB stick instead. If you want the apps on your existing drive then you will have to do a reformat.

Formatting drive makes no sense at all. OP has 800GB what if someone had 2TB. It has to be an upgrade rather than reformat when i use previous versions of same product.

Ahh, but it's not the same product. Lost of advances, and changes in technology. Its like pretending your Xbox peripherals to work with your Xbox 360 without modification or adapters.
When I moved the array from my NAS to a new one, I had to look for a temporary place for almost 5TB of data, and reformat as well. He could allways install NMT apps on a flash drive, and leave the HD as it is. |

Its about writing code on Hard disk. I am not asking my old A-110 to have A-300 performance or hardware.
All i am asking is write the same piece of code to hard disk instead of USB drive. That way i don't have to loose a USB port or format. |
