C-300 unpack script not extracting .rar files to complete mkv and avi files

newbie.
hi folks my nzbs have successfully downloaded to the download folder within my internal drive of the c-300 pch. The files are a bunch of .r00 -.r17 followed by the final xxx_xxx_.rar file in the download directory that you would normally see. The issue is how to extract the .RAR in its final form to the video directory?
I have left the nzbget web interface fields as per the default. I can also confirm my unpak.sh file is within my .nzbget folder, I haven’t touched or edited the unpak.sh file. I can view the parameters of the file ok.
is there any other settings need to be made to the actual web interface to kick start the extraction process? so it’s extracted to a directory as a completed mkv or avi file etc. is there something I am missing here. if so can point me into the correct forum where this issue has been resolved that would be great.

What are you using to download? Default usenet NMT Apps or something else?

Have you considered using something else for your nzb/usenet downloads?

What is it that you download and what would you ideally like to happen?

i am using the default NMT apps. NZBGET Web interface -settings. i am totally new to PCH this is my first device C-300 , SURE thing if there is something out there that will download my files from my usenet servers and extract it to my PCH i am all ears.

prior to PCH i normally download primarly movies and docs from http://www.nzbsrus.com/ and i use newsleecher and have it setup to automatically extract the .rar file to a final directory of my external HD as the final file. .mkv etc. i use astraweb for my server to allow the files to be processed by newsleecher.

currently on the C-300 i am able to succesfully download the file to the default location on my internal sata drive share directory \\x.x.x.x\share\Download as an example "Safe.House.2012.BRRip.XviD.AC3-SANTi" i can see the file and also the rar files in \\x.x.x.x\share\Download\Safe.House.2012.BRRip.XviD.AC3-SANTi all the information seems to within the directory. however the extraction never happens to extract the. rar file to to same directory as the finished product.

i have a friend who has a pch-200 and we have tried to compare config files ( using beyond compare ) , added a postprocess.conf file and tried to modify the unpak.sh and confirmed the nzbget.conf file and still unable to unpack the .rar files.

I have my favourite TV Shows or Movies I am waiting for listed in it. I then wake up daily to my TV downloaded, unrared, and placed in a TV-SD and TV-HD folder each day.

You require to use the CSI Apps to install a newer version of nzbget before you can use the link though. That and other things are exmaplined in post one and the rest of the thread. The devleoper will also help you out.

i seem to be going 10 steps back to go 1 step forward. i have an issue with CSI when trying to install the latest "NZBget 0.8.0-testing-r407" or any other application to that matter. this is the message i receive. ( its the generic ftp message which appears to give very little information on getting to the root cause of the issue )

"Connection error while trying to connect to Network media tank. Please check server settings in "server/hardware settings" in extra menu. Also make sure you have the FTP server running. If problem remains use "Report a bug" or "Help" in help menu."

before you ask i have done the following. i have a C-300 PCH
- Reformatted the internal 2TB drive to ext3
- Reinstalled the lastest fireware version
- Reinstalled the NTM apps on the local internal 2TB drive and confirmed they have all started.
- Laptop running CSI app has the antivirus software is disabled ( for test purposes )
- Confirmed my router firewall is disabled ( for test purposes )
- Confirmed my filezilla clinet can successfully connect to the PCH ip address ftp://10.0.0.3 port 21 Username: nmt Password: 1234 and successfully opens the directory without issue
- I have confirmed i can restart the PCH via telent commands
- i have confirmed i can restart the ftp service and any other service via telnet
- i have reinstalled CSI 2.7.2.0 and confirmed the software respository info installs successfully.
- i can confirm the CSI page reloads with Application feild : NZBget 0.8.0-testing-r407 and install on my PCH ip address: 10.0.0.3
- i can also confirm in server and hardware settings. i have tried all listed hardware. since C-300 isnt listed in the drop down box i have tried all others and entered in the IP address and still same issue.

example:
Server settings:10.0.0.3
username: nmt
Password: 1234

Any Ideas why i cant install any apps via CSI to my new C-300 PCH

Hang on are you connecting direct to your router with your NMT. The ip beginiing with a 10 makes me think not?

My router uses ip's that are 192.168.1.1 - 192.168.1.255. Your router should be giving your network devices similar ip's either through DHCP if using Automatic or you should be giving a static internal ip that is outside the range of the DHCP pool.

Ip's starting with 10 are usually for direct connection to a PC and not for direct connections to/from the outside world or between LAN devices. You usually only have ip with 10 if you have no router and only a modem.

Valid Private Address Spaces are
10.0.0.0 - 10.255.255.255
172.16.0.0 - 172.31.255.255
192.168.0.0 - 192.168.255.255

UPDATE on a good note.
the PCH-C300 is connected via my home router. like I mentioned I can ftp using filezilla to access the ftp share. CSI uses the ftp client to install any apps you wish to install on your PCH-C300.
I have even gone to the extremes of resetting my router to factory default and setting DCHP scope of 192.168.1.1- 192.168.1.100 and gave the PCH-C300 at static of 192.168.241 and confirmed I could access the hit the web and access via ftp using filezilla.

Under settings ( hardware ) I went through every device using the IP address of the PCH and then went through the list again using the hostname instead. AND I was able to successfully install the Nzbget 0.8.8-testing-r407 using THE hardware called "Popcorn hour c-200" with my ftp server settings setup using the host name PCH-C300 .to further test I used the IP address 192.168.1.241 and I was able to successfully restart my PCH-C300. I also tried "Popcorn hour c-200 usb" I then went into my router and pretty much went through it with a fine comb and the firewall settings are pretty limited it’s a model TG782GT so it the parameters are limited to "standard" or "disable" or "block all" the only option that works for the PCH-C300 is "disable"

I will take a look at the link and get this installed if Nzbget 0.8.8-testing-r407 doesn’t do what I want it to do.
