how to set up transmisson-remote-gui ?

Evening all,

I'm using Transmission v 2.13 that came with my PCHA300

After doing some reading i downloaded and installed - transmisson-remote-gui

Trouble is theres no real info on how i should set it up?

I have put in the following details:
REMOTE HOST: 192.168.1.64
PORT: 9091
USERNAME: nmt
PASSWORD: 1234

in paths i have also tried: /share=\\PCHA300L\SATA_DISK\Downloads

All i am getting is "CONNECTION REFUSED" - What am i doing wrong?

A set up guide would be very helpful for newbs. If anyone could help me would be very appreciative.

sorry but that doesnt make any sense to me?

i have typed myip:9091/transmission_web/ and that did nothing? Surely i need to type something into the actual program?

username and password of transmission are empty in standard config.

Watch out when you portforward port 9091 to the internet, because with standard config anybody could control your transmission.
i wrote a little personal wiki with stuff about the nmt (hosted on nmt ) ;

You could also try using the CSI version in stead of the standard one.

In addition to Slevin answer the port for the default Transmission daemon is 8077. So settings for TRG:

Host: Your nmt IP
Port: 8077
Username and password empty

You can leave paths empty for now, set them up when you need them. They are not needed for the connection.

To clarify johny555 answer. He meant you can also control transmission from your browser. The correct URL for the default A300 Transmission is:
http://[nmt-ip]:8077/transmission/web/

Many thanks for your reply, however, once putting in the IP address of my PCHA300 and leaving the username and password fields blank it still says connection refused.

I also tried adding to "/share=\\PCHA300L\SATA_DISK\Downloads" to the Paths box as well. Didnt work.

Ref: the nmt installer - are you suggesting that i should upgrade the version of transmission that is on the PCH?

If you want to use the pre-installed Transmission, follow DathRarheks comment and use port 8077.
I would personally upgrade as there have been a lot of upgrades inbetween.

Ok i have got the transmisson gui to work! Woohoo. I will try and change the password, thank you all for your help! I may(probably) be back for more advice. Great having it working though! Appreciated.
