C-200 with latest firmware becomes non responsive
I think a major glitch in the latest C200 firmware has appeared. After I updated my firmware to the latest version I have noticed that when playing a full bluray video file that if the movie is near the end and after pressing stop the movie continues to play and will not exit and so you end up back at the start or main movie menu with no success exiting, so I just held the the power button on the renote for a number of seconds released and then unit goes into a reboot. It appears after the movie plays so long that player goes into some kind of endless loop. My player did not do this on these movies before and only now after the upgrade. The player becomes non responsive unless you do a reboot.

I tried stopping a playing movie from the front panel of the C-200 and this was just after successfully watching and stopping a movie before this with the remote and low and behold the unit would not stop and was locked up again. This time this was not a bluray file and was just a dvd file. On the bluray file that this happended on the current time counter on the lcd for the movie had stopped counting while still playing the movie and so the unit actually stopped responding at the time the time counter stopped, because just before pressing the stop button I noticed this and of course the unit did not respond to stopping or anything else other than a reboot (05-29-2012 08:10 AM)geekuix Wrote:(05-28-2012 09:42 AM)saturnring Wrote: I think a major glitch in the latest C200 firmware has appeared. But the reason that I did not is the previous firmware updated with no factory reset and the C-200 was working fine but it was only after updating to this firmware that this problem showed, I have also noticed that with this firmware update that others have posted all kinds of other problems. Hope the reset does the trick but others that are having trouble did try the reset but failed to resolve anything but worth a try. |

RE: C-200 with latest firmware becomes non responsive
(05-29-2012 07:43 AM)Willem53 Wrote: let's see if anyone else has this problem... I have investigated this problem more and what I also found is that the time counter on the lcd display showing the current time position in the movie was frozen even though the movie was playing and this was 20 minutes past that point, pressing stop also had no effect and so if the time counter has stopped while the movie is still playing that already indicates that the unit will not respond to stopping. I also ruled out the video file because I started the movie just prior to the spot when the time counter had stopped the previous time and it played right through and did not stop counting at the point when it did the last time. It is apparent to me the firmware has a stability issue. |

Well, I have established that since the update it has the same problem on multiple formats of video files occurring multiple times and so now I will do the factory reset and see if this corrects the problem. |

Ok.... what services are you running, torrent, NZBget?
looks like the video engine is running but the filesystem is frozen... Do you mean this issue:-
Quote:5.) Remote gets unresponsive: when playing a full bluray video file that if the movie is near the end and after pressing stop the movie continues to play and will not exit and so you end up back at the start or main movie menu with no success exiting (some users report this kind of issue, i have also 1 who say that they still can see it with mkv As it says Syabas cannot replicate it yet in the lab. So if you can share all of your settings and if possible how to make the problem occur they may be able to fix it. As long as the time counter never freezes the stop command will work or any other function. |

RE: C-200 with latest firmware becomes non responsive
So lets assume then that if the timeline is having a problem that it happens in BD's that have multiple MTS files as opposed to one large MTS for the movie perhaps?
Can you look at the problem BD and see if that is a correct assumption. You may have to keep a record as it happens in the future as a sample of one is not good. What I thought at first was that is my one bdmv file but when I recognized that the time counter was frozen at 1hr and 28min into the movie and the movie was past that by 20 minutes and of course the unit now not responding I rebooted the and started movie just before the frozen time and this time it played right by that time and the counter was still counting so I new then that it was not the file. And now it has done this on just dvd movie files in the same manner so obviously it not the files as they played before with the prior firmware but what I did just a short while ago is I did a factory reset to see what happens. |

RE: C-200 with latest firmware becomes non responsive
I've seen this "crash".. it's so random and infrequent it's hard to pinpoint what causes it so someone can fix it. At least it's not happening often
![]() If it is happening often for you, have you tried the factory reset or recovery procedure, then resetting and updating the newest? |

RE: C-200 with latest firmware becomes non responsive
When you do a Factory Reset sometimes it can 'lose' the '/share' aka Media Drive location and your NMT Apps are shown as starting. If it does this goto Settings > Maintenance > NMT Setup Wizard and select the Media Drive option and then the location of your /share.

Well, with some disappointment after the reset the problem is continuing with five movies played since the reset and one has failed already with the same problem, so I will stop all default nmt apps running and then see if this is the area causing the problem. |
