mkv not playing - Still image

Hi, I just got my A-300, upgraded from A-100, none of my MKV plays.
I go to network media, select my shared folder, hit Enter or Play on one mkv.
All I get is a random Still image from the mkv file and nothing else. No sound, no video.

Am I missing something ?

nothing stands out do you have a usb drive you can try to play them off of.

Also does anything else play? Sometimes if the decoder locks up, the best thing to do is reboot (power button, then eject button within 1 second of each other)

I noticed both files were encoded using an old version of mkvmerge, also the last one has header stripping. Could this be the problem? Maybe run both through the latest version of mkvmerge and see if that makes them playable?

none of the mkv versions are terribly old. 2011 is still pretty recent. header stripping has no issues, And if they played on his A100 they should play no problem. there is either a network problem or maybe a bad unit.

Ok... so..

Tried with a usb stick, worked
Rebooted a300 + pc, still did not work.
Deleted the network share, recreated it and it worked....

No clue what happened.
